How to Fast Forward on XRS4500 PVR

I'm new to Buzz but my recording seemed to work. The problem is that I can't seem to advance the recording to the spot I'm interested in. It keeps wanting to go back to the start. Is this a general problem or is there a solution?

Both the double right arrow and the centre right arrow work for me

Hit the menu button while watching tv and post the info at bottom of screen

I'm using Buzz 5 now but still have recorder issues. When I set it to record a 10 minute segment, the playback that I get is only about 10 seconds. Still need help.

Which method of recording are you using?

I'm hitting the rec button and then setting it up for 10 minutes.

Go into menu config and switch to one button pvr See if that works

That worked for immediate recording but how would I set up the STB for recording later in the day?

press guide

once you have program you want to record hilighted press ok

There were issues with recording from guide with the earlier beta

Not sure in which beta it was fixed

You can also try menu,pvr,scheduled recordings,create manual recording

Still issues.

I can't select a program from the epg because since I went to Buzz 5, my epg hasn't populated.

When I do menu, pvr, etc..it gives me a recording that only lasts seconds per my original post.

The STB is less than 30 days old so I can still return it I think. Maybe I got a lemon.

Epg comes from your service

You can pm allaboutbuzz with your info if it's not a server issue

PS - sub works fine on my older STB.

Problem solved!

I was about to return the STB to the store so I figured I'd try one more thing. I hit settings/reset, loaded my script back on, and everything appears to be working great....full epg, recording nicely, and playing back correctly. I'm not sure what the problem was but it's gone.
