I just purchased this box and my remote will not connect with the box.  What can I do to connect my remote to my box

Yes I am. From up close to far away

continue on and set up box using ir mode

you can try pairing it in menu later

its not letting me move up or down on the box.. I can't get pass the first screen

you have to make a selection in order to get to next screen

hit the back button Ive bypassed this many times

nothing is registering when i click on the remote. The red light is flashing and that all

if you hold button down does the red light on remote flash or stay solid?

that shows its on ir mode and should work Any chance you have hit mouse button on remote?

that would stop remote from working

just doubles check that and its off mouse function is off

basically you have two options

Do a hard reset and see if that works or contact buzz for a replacement

Its a good box ,unfortunatelt these thing happen on occasion

A hard reset is the same like the other box? i need to get into recovery mode?

This had happened to me on xr4000 toothpick reset worked. I beleive the problem was for me but not 100% sure that I have change in power setting from sleep to shut down when pressing the power button.
