StarRyder707 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Hi all, Just received my power station and getting things set up. while using the remote it seems to freeze and the red light stays constant. i have replaced the batteries and it keeps happening. i have to remove the batteries and it will start working aging but only for a few minutes and freeze again. Any recommendations? Quote
Ryu Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago any external storage device connected? try to factory reset and see if that helps. Quote
StarRyder707 Posted 9 hours ago Author Posted 9 hours ago nothing connected to it how to factory reset? Quote
StarRyder707 Posted 6 hours ago Author Posted 6 hours ago Thanks RYU, i believe i got a defective remote and has nothing to do with the box. it will just stop working with no red light when a button is pushed. at times the red light will stay solid with no response. I remove the batteries, and the light clears but then no response. very odd. i opened a ticket with tech. support. Quote

When you say you replaced the battery, did you use regular alkaline batteries or rechargeables ? Rechargeables are only 1.2V each and alkalines are 1.5V each. Many devices don't care, but I find some remotes can be borderline. Also, if I recall there was a remote firmware update. If you go to the remote utility, what version of firmware does your remote show ? The latest I think was pushed with the V20250815 firmware last fall to update the BT500 to V7. Did you try to reset the remote. And test it out in IR mode only for a while to see if it behaves the same. Then go into the bluetooth settings, and "Forget" the device to ensure it is no longer known to the box, turn Bluetooth off for 5 second, and then turn it back on. And then re-pair it to the box ? 1 Quote
StarRyder707 Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago Yes regular, name brand batteries not rechargeables updated the firmware to V7 also deleted and re-paired. I will see what happens. Just seems like the remote was malfunctioning. i will keep using and will update. Thanks for the advice. 1 Quote
