vlad-jr Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago After the Buzztv logo, the box goes to the Android recovery screen. It says "Can't load Android system, your data may be corrupt". Factory reset doesn't help. Any ideas? Quote
Emporium Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago And you are sure you removed all external storage ? No USB, and no MicroSD card installed ? Sound like some serious corruption if it always jumps to the recovery screen. I'd say to try to contact cs @ buzztv.com first and see if they have any recommendations. If all else fails, you have nothing to lose to try using the update that is presently in the downloads section maybe. Maybe it repairs the file that has gotten corrupt. https://stbtalk.com/files/file/6-e2-series-update/ 1 Quote
vlad-jr Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago The update in the downloads section is V20211108 with BuzzTV 4, and my box had V20220916 with BuzzTV 5. I'm not sure these discontinued boxes will still update themselves. But I'll go ahead and try to install it, and wait for an update. If it doesn't update, I will contact buzztv if they can push an update or send me a file. Quote
vlad-jr Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago I tried to install the file, but it won't install an older update over a newer build. Quote
Emporium Posted 44 minutes ago Posted 44 minutes ago Just making sure you checked that there was no MicroSD installed in the box ? I know it was old, but it was worth a shot. Even if it had managed to "downgrade" you could have then updated back to buzztv5 (even if you had to ask them to push the latest update to the box [assuming they even still have it]). Box is quite old, so I would not expect miracles. I have a few different boxes from different vendors and many are now dead. Got nothing to lose to email customer support and see if there is any options. But obviously with the holidays upon us, don't expect any super quick reply. Quote
