My X5 Super Sport freezes on higher resolution content. Latest update on it was done in April and it states there are no current updates. I run it on an Ethernet hard wired gigabit fiber optic internet source. Speeds show over 900 up and 900 down. Lower resolution channels seem to be fine but on a 75 inch screen look like garbage. Any ideas on what my issue could be?

channel freeze and quality is usually server related if you don't have connectivity issues.

on your end try to replace HDMI cable and try a different hdmi port on tv if possible.

Also, if you have a VPN service available, try installing and using a decent VPN service.  Sure it will bring the 900 speed down, but sometimes many ISPs have a tendency of throttling media streams to speeds just enough for HD or FHD.. Anything higher will struggle.  Using HEVC/H.265 encoded streams for higher resolution streams, helps quite a bit if that is an option with your provider.

Thank you for the replies. I am certain it's not the HDMI itself but I will try a different port. It is an issue I only seem to have on this TV and not the others I have boxes on but there are different streams on each through the provided I use so I suppose it could be the stream service on this TV if it's not the port. It is a newer Samsung Smart TV and sometimes I wonder if the TV itself has some kind of safeguards on it for certain streaming links creating the issue but I figure that's likely a reach. I only notice it on live sports streams in high resolution.
