I have never used this system in the past, just used the mac. My provider has sent me a user name and password to use MU3. Is there a BUZZ APP and I assume I need to download to get going, if so where would I find it and it's name?

I would appreciate any help and or direction to get this up and running!

Thank you

The BuzzTV app is already preloaded on all buzz devices (including the classic).  For pure IPTV, you do not need to download any additional apps.

If you have not defined anything yet, as soon as you click on LiveTV, it should bring up the server screen (if something was defined, you will go straight into live TV, where you can then press the menu button on your remote, select settings->server setting - OR on the remote you should have a "servers" button which will take you straight to that screen).  From there you can choose MAC, XC or M3U playlist type server.  You choose the ones you want, then click on add new, and enter the info your provider gives you.

If they gave you a portal URL, username and password, then odds are that it is an XC type.   If they gave you 1 or 2 separate links (playlist and/or epg) then you'd need to enter in in M3U.

I did as you said and still  it comes up "not supported". The provider sent me the following information: "Username & password needed for M3U, login with extreme codes & enter username and password".  Now when I go to M3U it shows my URL connected but when I click on it it says "not supported".

The provider had this in the email:

Name: You may enter any name you prefer. A  Username xxxxxxxxxxxx. Password: xxxxxxxxxxxx.  Portal URL: xxxx.xxxxxx.com. They also sent additional portals should there be a problem which I did try. and I get the same thing not supported.

Now if I go on M3U to set it up it does not ask for a password, just the URL.

I did delete the MAC servers so they would not be a problem.

What an I missing???

Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Thank you

If you have a portal and separate name and password, then it is an XC (Xtreme) portal.

Don't use the M3U, use the XC API login..  You have 4 items to enter (a name - which can be anything, your username, the password and the URL) exactly as they sent you.  Username and password are case sensitive.

For M3U it would b e a long url which would have included your username and password in the url.  This is not what they gave you.  Use XC Api login.

I have one question. I also have a BUZZ 4500 which I believe the BUZZ APP is preloaded. If it is not where can I get that app and what name would it be under?

The app is integrated into the box.  It consists of the LiveTV, VOD and TV Series app which you are now using.  When in live TV, you should be able to press the menu button, and on the bottom left you will see the version of BuzzTV that you are running, it should say something like 5.0.xxx)
