shane Posted November 12 Posted November 12 How do you know your TV is old? My TV still has a great pic its a 15 y/o Samsung. Ive been having issues with sound, some programs sound very loud, some soft, others no sound! Ive read some suggestions here-in and have made changes. The one I'm stuck on is TV sound settings... i dont see decode options. As recomended by some info this forum. Do you think its time to buy a new TV? 1 Quote
Emporium Posted November 12 Posted November 12 First of all, this has nothing to do with BuzzTV 6. BuzzTV 6 is the software which is installed on the Powerstation devices and the L1. Is there any question about a BuzzTV box in there ? This is a BuzzTV hardware/software support forum not a TV support forum. If you have a specific box, post under that specific hardware section. For TVs, I don't see the age of a TV being an issue. I am running one of my BuzzTV boxes on an archaic Audiovox TV, and I'm even using the A/V port to connect, since the TV does not even have an HDMI port. If you are having volume inconsistencies of volume/sound between channels, then the problem sounds more like an issue with your iptv service provider (and we don't discuss services here), try using a different service and see if it is just as bad. 3 1 Quote
Mark Gavan Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Have you tried playing with this setting, and then use your tv remote instead of the Buzz remote. -------------------------------------------------- On your BuzzTV PowerStation 6, the option “Force Max Volume” in the PVR/Playback settings is a system safeguard that ensures the audio output is always sent at 100% volume level from the BuzzTV box itself. Here’s what that means: What “Force Max Volume” Does Locks Device Volume at 100% The BuzzTV box will always output audio at maximum volume. You won’t be able to lower the volume using the BuzzTV remote while this option is enabled. Pass‑Through Audio Control The idea is that the TV or external sound system (soundbar, receiver, etc.) should control the actual listening volume. BuzzTV just sends a full‑strength audio signal to avoid distortion or mismatched levels. Prevents Low‑Volume Issues Some IPTV streams can sound too quiet if the box volume is reduced. Forcing max volume ensures consistent audio quality across all channels. When to Use It If you’re using a soundbar or AV receiver and want the BuzzTV box to always send a clean, full‑volume signal. If you’ve noticed channels sounding too low even when your TV volume is high. If you want to avoid accidentally lowering BuzzTV’s internal volume and confusing it with your TV’s volume. Things to Keep in Mind You’ll need to adjust volume only on your TV or sound system once this is enabled. If you prefer controlling volume with the BuzzTV remote, leave this option disabled. It doesn’t boost sound beyond normal — it just locks the box’s output at 100%. Bottom line: “Force Max Volume” makes the BuzzTV box always output audio at full strength, leaving volume control to your TV or external speakers. It’s mainly for users who want consistent sound quality and avoid double‑volume control issues. Quote

Emporium Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Completely USELESS response. The original user did not ever come back to say what his issue was. When the original post says "some programs sound very loud, some soft, others no sound", that has nothing to do with any setting the buzz box can change. That has to do with the server itself and lack of any volume normalization over the various channel encoding. Regurgitating AI generated irrelevant replies has no value and will just confuse people looking for real answers. 2 Quote
