I been noticing my BuzzTV 5 turning on by itself in the oddest of hours late at night or early in the morning. Someone near me must have a remote that has the same frequency as mine has. Is there a way to change the frequency of the remote, so it doesn't cross over to my neighbor and vise versa?

Thanks

No there is no way.   And BuzzTV 5 is NOT a hardware box, that is the software that is running on the numerous number of Buzz TV box.  This should have been posted in the section for the specific box you own (B5, E5, X5, U5, etc...).

But if I had to guess, it is NOT another remote doing this.  The odds are there are power brownouts at odd hours, and since the box automatically comes on when it loses power and then gets power back, this is what is happening.  You can probably check this out but just covering the front of the box (where the IR receiver is) with something, and seeing if the problem persists.

my p6 was doing this few weeks ago after it got an update but then I hard reboot meaning disconnected power for 1 minute resolved the issue. 🙂
