You would think that if you purchased a 500.00 streaming box that does basically what a shield with the Tivimate app and a little more memory would do, might have a edit button under scheduled recordings that actually does something, show Thumb nails when fast forwarding a recording and a certified Netflix app. Just saying for anyone looking for a return on their investment.

and it's been posted many times in order to get certification from netflix buzztv has to drop support for any previous model

Reason for netflix has been answered.

Thumbnails for FFWD  ?  WHY the F#$@% would you want that ?  It does it so quickly on recordings and resuming playback is INSTANEOUS when you release the FFWD button.  It's not like it takes a few seconds to start playing again.  You want to know where you are, just take your fat thumb off the FFWD and you will see it instantaneously.

And for the edit of schedules, if that is a bug (I have not checked the latest beta to confirm), then instead of being a pompous @ss, you could have just posted about the bug, and it would have been surely fixed in the next update.  

You decide to play with the latest boxes, you expect growing pains.  And if you don't, then you are naïve. Even the original shield was FAR from perfect when it was first released. It had piles of annoying bugs, since even nvidia wasn't sure how to market the damn thing.  Year later I got a Mii Box 3 since the shield was just too annoying, and gave it time to mature.

Edit scheduled recordings was fixed in the most recent update sent today.

We can't do thumbnails when ffwd/rew as the servers our apps compatible with don't support it like Netflix or Disney
In order to support it, the streams have to be encoded this way. We have no problem adding support for it though if it becomes available

And its impossible for a company like ours to get a model certified by Netflix
I have personally sat in on meetings with Netflix and they want millions of boxes sold etc. They had a saying in the meeting, its not what Netflix can do for you, its what your company can do for Netflix with growing their subscriber base.
