The buzztv app is opening multiple connections to my iptv server (like 7 at a time), and I’m being kicked out of my iptv server because I cannot have more than 2 connections at a time. Everything says I’m updated to latest updates on the box. Anyone know it’s opening multiple instances of itself in the background?

The only time I have seen that is when the internet connection is bad, and the stream keeps dropping, so the box tries to reconnect.  And some servers are incredibly slow at killing idle connections so it looks like multiple connection when in reality most of those connection are disconnected.

I did find however that if you force your stream type to "TS" instead of auto or HLS. it seems to not keep the connection as persistent.

So is it an XR4000 or a Classic ?

It's one of the few boxes I don't have, but I'd be very surprised if the XR4000 has a 2024 firmware (not saying impossible, but very unlikely).

where does it show xr4000?

If i go to apps in settings, and click on buzztv 5, it’s mentioning buzztvxr4000. Maybe that doesnt mean anything.

Have you tried changing the password for your account?
I know in the past some users have had their accounts hacked and shared online, so that could be what is causing 7 connections at a time

As our app would not cause this otherwise.

if you go to a channel that won't load it will try again

by the time it connects or you give up it will use a new connection on each attempt

It only started doing this 2 days ago. It's been working perfectly for at least a year.

No, its a system app that is built into the box

That's if you're referring to the Buzz app

Any idea why I can’t it get it to factory reset?

If its a classic, try holding down the power button instead of the reset button inside the AV hole

I’ve tried both ways, it just reboots itself. Yeah it’s a classic
