How to set-up BuzzTV X5 to record VOD always get Download failed

Yes I did also the X5 after shutdown it started by its own and also started the tv.

If there is a power glitch at any time, the box will turn on.  It is the default action as soon as power is applied.

Thank you Emporium. I'm going to check that out. 

I taught it was due to the setting of recording a movie in VOD which didn't record error downloads failed.

He obviously meant downloading a movie from VOD, since he says "error downloads failed"

Keep in mind that if you start a download, the device needs to remain on, otherwise download will be interrupted for sure.

Can the BuzzTV X5 be on suspended mode?

I have canceled all possibilities that the tv will not lits the BuzzTV X5 and the BuzzTV X5 will not lits the tv also the BuzzTV X5 will not shutdown the tv.

Everything is manual.

I have mine set to suspended mode and never got issue.

Is it possible that movies from Netflix having a hard time to play and hard to download. 

To day I tried to download 2 Netflix all gave me a failed message. And while streaming its always buffering. 

Did some of you have noticed this situation??

what's your speed at box and how many connections are allowed?

Tested with the BuzzTV X5 256 Mbps wired.

Do you have an CEC settings enabled ?  When you turn TV off, is the X5 still with Blue LED on front, or does it go RED ?

I assume you want to record to a USB stick ?  You'd need a USB stick with a decent write speed (not any cheap crap).  Needs to be formatted, ideally as exFAT.  Insert into X5.

From withing BuzzTV app, press Menu button, and go to PVR->PVR Options->Recording Storage Location.  By default it is probably on "Internal shared storage".  If it sees your USB drive, it will show it there.   That is for PVR Recordings.  Now if you want to download Movies/TV Series, you would need to setup the PVR->PVR Options->Download Storage" option.  You cannot download to internal storage. so by default it is set to NA if you have nothing.  Select it, and if you have USB storage, you can select it.  Once you select some external storage, you will be able to "download" your VOD/TV Series.  

However keep in mind that it is very dependent on your server and the number of connections you have.  If you exceed you max connections, your download will stop/fail.  Keep in mind that if you are channel surfing as it downloads, sometimes some servers take time to update and realize you have changed channels and may assume you have multiple simultaneous connections as you channel surf and will disconnect/fail your download.
