**NEW** XR/XRS 4000 Update - Nov 17th - 2021**

**UPDATE CANNOT BE REVERTED**

Updates will be going out to all boxes in stages, so please be patient.

 

Firmware Changes:

- Update BuzzTV 4 App to Version 4.0.520
- Updated All Google Apps
- Fixed WV1 playback (Fixes HD playback in apps such as Disney+, DAZN, HBO+, etc...)
- Properly report AC3 capabilities (Fixes playback of AC3 audio)
- Updated WiFi/BT drivers
- Add Auto Frame Rate Support. Works on all apps. (Can be found in Buzz Utilities)
- Updated bootloaders
- Added feature to change background image on Home Screens. 
- General bug fixes
- Updated OTA UI + App to New Version. Will be next step to getting Buzz 5
- Improved Performance.

Buzz 4 App Update
4.0.520 Changes: 

- Update Secondary Player to Newer Version
- Fixed bug with Closed Captioning on Secondary Player
- Fixed XUI Server Related Bugs
- Fixed HTTPS streams bug on XC Login
- Start on boot feature in configuration menu will now connect once internet is connected.
- Fixed 404 Error bug when connecting to some servers
- Fixed some crashes
- Fixed bugs with some forwarding urls
- Fixed bugs on Live TV + VOD + Server + TV Series Menus.
- Fixed some recording bugs.
- Improved + optimized performance
- Fixed a bug with some channels getting no audio
- Fixed server bugs that were reported by users.

Please note, you will need to take this latest update in order to take the next upgrade to Buzz 5 which is currently available on the XRS 4900.  We will release this to all Buzz models on Android 9 in December.  An announcement will be made soon.

WiFi not working. I turn it on, no networks appear (not mine or any in the vicinity) and then after a few seconds the WiFi option turns off on it's own. 

What other information do you require to fix this? I do not want to do a hard reset either if I can avoid it.

Both Bluetooth and WiFi are fubared on mine. Luckily I'm using an Ethernet cable for connecting to the internet. I saw the issue with the Bluetooth as soon as I updated but hadn't tried the WiFi until I saw your post. Tried it and it too suffered the same fate. Both Bluetooth and WiFi won't stay turned on, they just close after a few seconds.

Update: A couple of reboots (through the menu - "About/restart") seems to have done the trick for me. Both Bluetooth and WiFi are now functioning normally.

Had the EDID switch for display on my TV set to 2.0 and worked fine @ 60 hz .. but after update my screen was black .. set the EDID switch back to 1.4 and display worked fine again but only goes to 30hz now .. cant change the display settings any higher and everytime i go back to EDID 2.0 its just black :(

I have restarted about 7 times and done a power pull 3 times.

WiFi doesn't scan any visible networks and turns off.

Yes i did and it only goes up to 4k 30hz now

had to the same with my 4500

always had to do that with my 4900

at least it worx

You cannot use Ethernet at the same time as Wifi on Android

That is why this happens.

I loved my 4000 and had no issues or problems until this current update. Now everyone's face is orange with bright orange florescent lines running through.  There's no flesh colored tones on anyone's faces.It's so  distracting I cannot even watch tv. It's not my tv because I have no issues at all while viewing without the streaming box. Please help. Can I reset? Will this delete the update?  Are there any adjustments I can make on the box because I believe I've tried everything.  I don't want to toss this box.

I don't see anywhere where you can change the home screen image. Does this mean that my update did not go through properly?

New Update
Buzz 4 Version 4.0.522

Changes:
- Fixed bug where channels did not have sound
- Fixed bug with Live TV Favs not changing channels properly when using Organized Favorites Sort Option
- Fixed bugs

Update will be sent to all users running Version V20211111 FW.

Instructions:

You will get the update automatically, or you can check for it manually
When in Live TV or Server Settings Menu
Press Menu Button
Select Check Update
The update will automatically download + install
You will be taken back to the Home Screen
Reload the server to complete the Install.
