This Update installed last night, now my STB does not power down correctly.  It is hanging when you hit the power button and the front LED remains blue rather than turning red.  It even hung than rebooted on one occasion.  The only way I can power down my unit right now is to press and hold the power button and choose shut down from the pop-up menu.  A fix is required as a use a Harmony remote so this bug is throwing my equipment out of sync.

Tried that and it still hung on shutdown for some reason.  Which seems even stranger to me when it works correctly with the press and hold power button pop-up menu.  But thanks for offering a suggestion.

I have bros.  They have already responded and expect to be able to provide a fix in a very short time frame.  But thanks for making sure I understood that was a legit representative of Buzz asking for the PM.

Unit has stopped responding immediately after the update last night (July 15, 2021).

Screen message says " Buzz TV 4 isn't responding".

Disconnected all cables including the router and rebooted number of times. No change.

I have no transmission at all.

Please help. Thank you.

1. Try this

Click close app. Then it should re open itself. 

 

2. if that doesn't work 

Is there a app info button?

If so click it and try clearing cache. 

 

If not, then clear data. Please note you will need to re enter your server url after this.

Your suggestion 1 does not work. The same message reappears.

It does not respond to my pressing the info button on the remote.

Please help. What should I do next?

Did you try option #2?

The box does not respond to any keys being pressed, except the source key, the TV off key and the STB on/off key.

 

You can't highlight app info and press ok with the remote?

It may be hard to see the menu highlight, but its there

You have an ARQ 100 remote by chance?

If so, press settings button

Then go to Buzz utilities, change home screen from Modern to Classic. 

 

If not then will need to hard reset

This is the remote that came with the box. Strangely, there is no model # with the remote.

There is no "settings" key on the remote.

None of the other keys including "Menu" or "Server" work.

 

Next step?

practise a little bit with a pin to get a feel for the button Its closer to the top of the av hole

you will be able to feel it being pushed in

The box is unfrozen now. Hopefully, it will continue to work.

You were very patient. The link to the video helped a lot and saved both of us a lot of time and frustration.
