the only reason I ran ethernet was because my 4900 would drop wifi after 3-5 hours

it could be a bad port

I'll be honest I had the same ethernet issue on my 4900 and the staff try to help me with the issue but nothing worked so I returned it and they gave me another one and the new one had the same issue at the time that was a dealbreaker for me the only reason the ethernet port wouldn't be a dealbreaker for me this time is the box was expensive so I'll just deal with it if I have to, I'm hoping that's not the case though

AptoideTV is a system app I believe on buzz boxes, so no uninstalling.   Really surprised however that I could not "uninstall updates".

Anyhow, truth it, I don't use it much either.  I have all the latest apks of the apps I typically use on a USB stick and I just use the Appinstaller to quickly install everything one after the other 🙂  And any new apps I want to install, I download them to my NAS directory where I keep all my apks, and using something like solid explorer, I connect to the NAS and install them remotely.

Oh yeah I forgot that they give you aptoide as a pre-installed app on their boxes and that would make what I suggested a pain in the ass obviously because then you would have two versions of aptoide on the box and you would probably be mistaking one version for the other consistently unless you went into settings and apps, and opened it that way because then you could see the version number for the app

Just power up my Classic, and it had updated to 5.1.2 and it give the same issue 😞

Went into settings->apps and I stopped it, and cleared data and then try to reopen, it give the "release notes" for "what's new" with 5.1.2 and then permission for files, which I grant, and then give the error 😞

Just checked, and 5.1.2 seems to be the latest available online also.

I know it's not the greatest solution and I don't really use aptoide so I'm asking as well but in theory couldn't you just go find the apk file for the older version that worked and then that would fix the issue or do they not put the latest versions of certain apps on older versions of aptoide?

Who's deadline ?  Like any new product, the schedules can slip.  Development is NOT an exact science when dealing with new hardware and 3rd party SDKs.

It's a new product.  It'll ship when it ships.  Last thing anyone wants (including buzz) is a product that has too many bugs.  Pricey product with many bugs is a sure recipe for piles and piles of complaints.  Better to postpone than to release.

If you can't wait, then I am sure you can easily cancel your order.

Agreed not only is it a sure recipe for a lot of complaints it will also result in a handful of people maybe more asking for refunds and no company wants to deal with that if people are complaining about bugs with in the software those can be fixed with OTA updates but if people start complaining about the box as a whole and asking for refunds that can cause a lot of headaches, and obviously money lost for buzz I appreciate that they're taking their time with it instead of just rushing the product out the door so that they can collect money it may take a little longer for all of us to get our hands on the box but when we do I'm sure it will be well worth the wait

there's plenty of good exteral drives out there for less

I was thinking there were probably cheaper options available but a friend recommended that particular SSD end it was also the one I seen when scrolling through the pictures for the power station so I figured why not go with that one because I know it's compatible with the device

    possibly,considering it can be used in a 3900 or 4900 😉

I wasn't sure if I wanted to pay full price but 40% off was just too good I would've been kicking myself if I didn't buy it
