Guess if you have a VPN server in that geolocates to your city, you can connect, lock the "weather location" in the settings, and then disconnect VPN if you want.  The lock feature when it was added, was pretty handy for those who use VPN.

Maybe in buzztv6 we'll be able to just "choose"/override our location, instead allowing it only to auto detect (like you can do on most android phones).  Or even like the  MSN weather app on a PC..

 

that feature is only available on the 5 series

if I reboot my modem/router my location changes from markham to montreal or vice versa

I'm not near either city

it detects the city your isp is using

and I don't believe you can get 4k from netflix on android tv which is on netflix's end

Also when I set to auto, the movie did not switch over to 4k.

mine is set to auto

when I switch from live tv which is 720 and 1080 and go to a 4k vod it automatically changes for all 3

are you watching 4k content?

if not just leave it on auto

anymore issues start a thread in the section for your model and also include firmware/software versions

and I just installed bbc iplayer from aptoide and it runs fine

buzztv 5 has nothing to do with other apps

how are they standard apps?

because you're the only one that has mentioned them

your clients can do a backup onto usb stick

then load to pc and open hex editor or a similar program and pull portal info

I can only think of one reason why you don't want it known

and if you backed up to sd card it isn't there unless you moved it from internal

it's in menu/settings/configuration

and you still haven't posted firmware/software versions

and format your drives to exfat format with a pc

you can only backup to internal

then move it to another drive

and use ssd instead of sata

or get a fan
