  1. I have loaded Nord onto my 4500xrs. It works however I cannot control it. The connection page does not respond to disconnect commands. Anyone have any ideas whether there is an issue with the 4500xrs and Nord? I have an X5 also and there are no problems between it and Nord.
  2. I agree. I was getting a bit confused by the operator of one of my services. He was saying my issues were caused by my Buzz X5 not being strong enough to handle his server. I was telling him his server went down for at least 3 hours every day. Today it was 6 hours. I tried doing every thing at my end to deal with it. I will reboot the Buzz and reboot my router almost every day when the issue happened. I run 500 mbps fiber and have 6 wifi extender pods through out the house. The wifi at the Buzz usually measures 230 to 300 mbps . I tried hooking into the connection on one of my wifi pods and it made no difference. The same thing happened. I'd really like to sort out the issue, when this server is working it is terrific. There are few if any freezes for days.
  3. Will loading more than one server on an X5 128 AX affect the boxes performance? Would the number of servers cause freezing or dropped connections?
  4. nbs I agree. I am looking for another service. In the meantime however trying to get a refund from these guys is like having a tooth pulled.
  5. I am hoping that this question is not against the rules here. I have a Buzz X5 128AX connected to a 500mbps fibre connection to my router with a 230mbps wifi reading in the room with buzz. I am using a server that I have freezing and disconnect issues with. My connection is a MAC server. They tried having me download IBO Pro player however Google Play Protect blocked the installation saying that it was unsafe. In trying to get the operator to refresh my line I am being told that they have never heard of Buzz streaming boxes and that my Buzz X5 AX128 Is just not powerful enough to handle the strength of their server. In addition they have indicated that I am the only person having these issues. (I know from looking on line this is not true). They have recommended I purchase and use a Firestick. Other than subbing to another service can anyone suggest what I might try.
  6. I have looked through all of the settings on my X5 to find out how to restrict the programs that my family can access by content ratings. Is there a way to do this in the Buzz software? If so where is the switch/toggle located.
  7. Not sure. However when I was checking to see why I could not find Nordvpn on the 4500 I was prompted to update You tube which updated, another program that updated and Aptoide, which came back saying it was a dangerous update. When I said ignore and load anyway it started then immediately went to update failed
  8. Thank you Emporium.
  9. I tried updating aptoide on my 4500. When I try I get a google message that the update is dangerous and it does not load. Any suggestions. I am trying to update because the version of Aptoide that Is on the unit does not have an app for Nordvpn.

I have been told by the support staff of one of the servers I have that I am having freezing and lack of programs playing because my ISP (Bell) is blocking my feed. They have recommended a VPN to deal with the issue. I have read that VPN's have a tendency to slow down internet speed and can cause latency issues. Any thoughts would be welcome.
  11. there are times that I have freezing which makes the programs unwatchable.
  12. I have been using primary for live TV since I received my X5. It was the way the unit was setup at the factory I understand from reading in the forum that backup is the recommended setting. for live TV. and primary for Recording and Time shift. I have not recorded any programs nor do I use time shift. However every time I try to switch to backup rather than primary for live TV the picture shrinks down to about 1/8 of screen size and is situated in the top left hand corner of the screen. Any suggestions on what to do to have the picture go to full size when I switch to backup.
  13. I was having some difficulty with frequent freezing and dropped programmes. I tried just about everything to get the signal to stabilize. It would be OK for awhile then start acting up again. My setup is an X5 hard wired to a wireless Pod. I am running a Fibe 500 connection with 500 mbps download and 500 mbps upload capability. The speed at the POD varies between 200 and 250 mbps most of the time. I decided to try connecting with wifi instead of a wired connection. Lo and behold it seems to have improved my connection tremendously. I get the odd freeze once and awhile however the connection is much more stable. Anyone have any idea why this would happen. I was always told that a wired connection is much more effective than a wireless connection.

How do I add a VPN to my Buzz X5 128AX
  15. Followed what Tlr had done with his U5. Found the HDMI CEC settings on the X5. Turned them both off. That worked. Thanks again to all of you folks.
