I never liked the CEC setting and have shut mine off as well.

When I reset my box and it automatically updated from Buzz 4 to Buzz 5, I had to call my iptv provider and he had to "refresh" my mac address in his system, then the box started working, try that.

Well that's not true for me, the normal part of the remote still needs line of site, the back keyboard part uses the usb wireless dongle and does not need line of site.

I did not know it was missing Bluetooth, I just knew the line of sight worked, which is a no brainer

my old mag box had an android app to control the box from my phone, since i no longer use infomir mag boxes but now i use buzztv does such android app exist for the buzztv boxes to control the remote remotely? no pun intended

I bought the XRS4500 last year and totally love it. It is easy to use, not confusing, its got a clear and clean interface that even my youngest kid knows how to easily navigate thru it. Great stuff BuzzTV!

ahh, well thats alright, I guess I was spoiled to have non line of sight but can live with this.

thanks, I understand that it needs the dongle for the keyboard and air mouse to work, but I guess it only uses IR to talk to the box for the regular remote, eh?
