  1. "dishuser" you are right. That's why I either write things down or take a picture, because I can't remember shit!
  2. "Emporium", I have always noticed that the X5 power lite stays red during recordings; I should have mentioned that! Tonite I will look at the four recordings I did last nite. They were b to b 1/2 hour shows , two b to b on the same channel then two more BTB on the same channel an hour later. I find myself taking a picture of my scheduled recordings, because, I don't see any where to see the schedule I had set up once the recordings are done!.
  3. I recorded some shows last night. I haven't had time to "analyze" my work yet. All my recordings will be done "after hours' with all my components powered off. When all my "stuff" is powered off this includes the X5 which has its powers light "red".
  4. As I just mentioned, I am removing the extended recording time for all my up coming sessions.
  5. If I am recording b to b shows, wouldn't you think the X5 would consider that two separate recordings? Same channel or not. Any way, over the next few days I will by trying various scenarios and I'll post the results. I will be using a 5 connection sub.
  6. "dishuser", you may have a point there. I will drop "extended" record time when I try my next recording sessions. Having just said that, I would think that "extra" record time should not come into play if the X5 can record multiple recordings at the same time., if your sub, like mine ,has multiple connections.
  7. "cyrowth" I am still having issues when I try to record back to back shows on the same channel. Soon I am going to try recording back to back shows on different channels. I am also going to try three or four recordings at the same time. I have a 5 connection sub.
  8. "cyrowth", sorry, I didn't read the last line of your post. The short answer is no. I don't know of a "long" answer. I'm not even sure if this IS an issue. TK
  9. "Emporium" I was told , in no uncertain terms" that plugging and unplugging "things" can VOID warranty.
  10. Thanks "nbs". I never read the "Allaboutbuzz" stuff.
  11. Guess who? If a scheduled recording is in progress, then the stream buffers or what ever would disrupt the stream; will the X5 keep recording, or stop at that point. If it does stop, then the stream returns, as far as the X5 is concerned, it has recorded the show.?.? I have the buffer time set to 10 sec, if that would make any difference.
  12. From a pre scheduled recording say Friday, as I see it, you do not have the choice to start the recording on Fri and end it on Sat. You only have one day to play with. I have found out , on paper, you can add to the 0000 time to give you more recording. I haven't tried that yet.
  13. You are right. Actually you HAVE to change the end time if the end time is 0000; you HAVE to either add or subtract time, the scheduled recording will not allow a time of 0000. As far as adding time to all recordings, say 5 min, I have run into problems recording two shows, one after the other. I almost always start my scheduled recording(s) from the EPG, then edit it in the scheduled section.
  14. So , if I am recording a show, say, Fri from 11PM until 12 midnight, and I want to extend the recording by 5 min then I have to set up a 2nd scheduled recording from Fri at mid until the following Sat at 5 min after midnight. Does that sound about right?
  15. Another recording question, what else! I noticed that the record times are in the 24 Hr set up. If a show starts at 2300 and is done at midnight(0000), and I try to set up a scheduled recording, the X5 will not accept 0000 as a stop time. I have to set the stop time to 2359. I DO realize that I can add time to all my recording(s), but some times I run into problems when recording one show right after another. TK
  16. A few interesting things on my recording "test" All though I DID NOT "connect" to the two servers I had set recordings on, the PVR recording page DID show the channel and program that was to be recorded, it just didn't record them. I find it interesting that the X5 found the channels on the servers NOT connected! On another note. After I was done my "testing" I set up two shows to be recorded, on the same channel, one after the other. Each show was one hour. The X5 recorded for 1.5 hours, so I missed the last half of the second show. This has happened to me a lot lately. I guess, until this thing is possibly fixed, a fellow will have to extend the first recorded program to take in the second program.
  17. I also used one button record. But, the recordings I choose , were about 15 min before they started. About the TVMate, when I did my test I disabled the servers being used in my X5.
  18. OK. Neither show recorded. The shows appear on the PVR recording page, but with a length of 00:00:00; where as a recording (that I did a few days ago) of 30 min shows a length of 00:37:00, in this case the bit of extra time was because I added some time to the end of the recording. Keeping in mind that I left the X5 on a server other than the two I was recording on may explain the no recording time.
  19. My first test. I set up two recordings to start a 6:30 AST, about 15 min from now. 30 min programs. The two recordings are of different programs, on different channels, on two different servers. To make things more interesting I also set up the "X5" on a third server and left it there while I watch with a different app(TVmate) on a different server(that last of my four servers). If you never hear from me again, you will know something went horribly wrong!!!!
  20. Thanks "dishuser". How about scheduling two shows on different servers at the same time? I suppose I am just being lazy. I could try this my self. Just thought some else may have already tried.
  21. A recording question, what else. I have 4 "providers". It appears that I can only "connected" to one service at a time. Does this mean that I can only record the service I am connected to?
  22. Thanks for all the input!!I I believe a lot of my issues(other than me) were battery related. A fresh set of batteries and all is good!! On another note; Has any one been having problems recording since the last update? My last scheduled recordings have lasted only 10 seconds.
  23. It seems , to me, that if you do NOT want to control your TV with the BT-400, then you do NOT have to pair it. In my case, pairing or not, I still have quite limited range of my remote. Since the remote is IR, where is the IR receiver, is it on the on/off panel? Having a bit of experience with IR, I know that the receiver has to be in relatively close line of sight to work properly.
