Device Not Authorized

Hi .

Went through initial setupp and got the Device Not Authorized.

Tried the 15 minute power off suggestion but the same warning was still up.

What now?

Did that resolved the issue because I have the same problem

Reboot your box and try the update again. 

The update server was offline for about an hour today. So might have happened to you during this time.

hi im having the same problem tried 6 different boxes but all came up with same message 

device not authorized

please help

Wow 6 different boxes ,u talking about xr or xrs , because I sold by now around 50 boxes and none give me this problem

Our update server was offline for a few hours this morning for maintenance

Its back online now

So you can retry the updates on your boxes and it should work now

Maybe is a batch that has hardware problem, and u got it ,I will go back to the supplier and return them ,now depends on the supplier if is accepting to return and replace them.

Some new boxes experience this device not authorized issue. This problem is resolved for all who experience it. Thanks

I kept trying then it finally did it

had the tv set to 1080p

 

then tried again with 1080i

and that took, maybe just because I had to try 4 times

I have 2 more I have to try again later

The update server was offline for a few hours on Thursday

So this is probably why you had these issues

 

It's been back online since Thursday afternoon (Eastern Time) without any issues since then.
