And you want to talk about arrogance (from your comments in the previous post), feel free to look in the mirror, since YOU were the arrogant one, making assumptions that it was the box that was at fault and no matter what anyone said (to try to help and guide you to the source of the issues you were experiencing), you would get upset and continued expecting a fix/patch for the box. Buzz is usually pretty quick in issuing fixes for minor issues that needs fixing. Hell, I've even gotten fixes pushed withing hours of reporting issues (and I'm sure many other here have also). If you know everything, then I don't see why you even bother asking questions, especially when you refuse to accept any guidance. We all have lives outside these forums (you are no exceptional god - sorry to burst your bubble). With at least 15 buzztv boxes in our possession and access to multiple services, many of us have seen and experienced a little more than the average iptv user. So when possible, we try to help people as much as possible. And if the issues are found to be legit buzz box hardware or software issues (which your issue was not), and we can reproduce them, they are put in the queue and depending on the criticality of the issues, they gets addressed by buzz in upcoming loads.

If you mean pre install the apps into a Firmware update No we have no plans to do that. A lot of those can be easily found in the Playstore already. We try to limit pre installed apps as they just add to the size of a Firmware and also bloat ware for the users that don't use them at all.

first of all, CH 657 is specific to your service. Here we do not discuss specific services. Keeping it generic, If your EPG is off ONLY on this channel, then the issue is on your providers end. If the EPG is off by 1hr on ALL channels, then you can change the offset in the EPG offset section under menu->settings->configuration->EPG Time Offset. Normally Buzz devices will use the EPG time zone settings provided by the server, and local time zone to calculate the offset automatically (I never had to change it manually on buzztv 5). But you can override it as mentioned above. But this affects "ALL" channels. Single channel issues, you will need to contact your provider.

Then how do you explain it doesn't work on Mag or Stb emu? It was tried on both. Your server broke something this week. That they're refusing to fix.

The update you're reporting on came out in February. And this issue only appeared this week. So the issue is on their side or they changed something this week and broke something. It's impossible an issue like this would go unreported for almost 2 months. If there was a problem we could fix. We would. We always have. And it was tried on stb emu + mag and both had the same issue. The log clearly shows the issue is on their side.

Have you checked under Settings->Device Preferences->Display and Sound->Advanced sound settings, and make sure that S/PDIF is still turned on ? It can happen sometimes after a s/w update some settings, like S/PDIF and Force Max Volume, will sometimes toggle. I know it is not ideal, but it does happen sometimes.

How would people be ignorant and incompetent if they accidentally made that settings change? Accidents do happen. I'm sorry but that is a very arrogant thing to say.

Finally, I resolved the issue. Had to unistall buzztv 5 updates, turn surround sound off. Then buzztv 5 reinstalled updates by itself and the sound bar is still working

If you're using a MAC Server it has only one connection Same goes if you're using XC or M3U with just one connection. So if you start a recording while watching, the app records it in the foreground That is why it stops recording if you stop watching it, as in go to the home screen or turn the box off. If you scheduled the recording and aren't using the box, the background recorder will start recording it This also works if the box is in Standby, or if you have an X5, U5 or Classic and use Shutdown for power off, the box will boot up to record If its in suspend, it will record in the background. If you're using XC or M3U with 2+ connections, when you record something even while watching it The background recorder will automatically create a new connection and use that to record it This allows you to change channels and watch something else, or use another app/go to the home screen etc. This is just how our app works to record

If you are wired as per your diagram I don't see how this will work. Your Buzz box ethernet is NOT going back to the router LAN side so the MOCA it is connected to is not really on the LAN. Cable coming in would typically go to modem, then to router, which can feed the computer you have, but then another line would typically go back to splitter to feed the MOCA network devices. This is more inline with how I would expect it to be connected.

Also gave the X5 a pretty damn nice review also (4.7 on 5). And this was not just first impressions, it was after using it as his regular box for about a week.

The few bad reviews are from a handful of users who came here asking for help, but refused to answer the questions asked of them. They assume they know everything and refuse to answer simple questions. If the unit turns out to be defective (and every company has a few), Buzz is pretty damn good at replacing them. Also, one of the biggest issue with the U5, is people with previous buzzTV boxes, have a tendency of trying the lazy option when swapping boxes, and tend to use the power supply of their previous box. The power supply fits (unfortunately), and will often even power up the box. But the other boxes (except for the 4900) all use a 5V power supply. The 4900 and U5 use a 12V power supply and hence will be very unstable with a 5V power supply. Also, some people want the boxes so badly, and even though they are not for sale in their country, they will go through freight forwarders or other logistics companies to get their box to their country. If something goes wrong however, don't expect Buzz to pick up the warranty shipping to a country they technically do not ship to (even though they have in some cases). And because of this, they are pretty bitter. And I don't have issues with 4900 and the numbering. However during one of the last updates, for some reason the default sort order did change on both my 4900 boxes. But put it back to my preference and it was fine. Not saying buzz is perfect. Every company has a few issues with any product. But they are typically quite good at fixing issues quickly and taking care of their customers. But some people feel so entitled and do nothing but curse, don't cooperate for trying to identify the issue, and are so negative. No matter what you do some people are just miserable by nature.

Why would you want to switch if it all works ? When switching to secondary, before you back out of the menu, give it about 5 seconds. I did notice that sometimes if you back out too quickly it will do as you mention since it starts to stream just as you are switching from one screen to another, so it glitches. Other option is if you do find yourself with the small screen, then long press the back button, to exit the BuzzTV app, and then enter again and it should be full screen again and the backup player should be still selected and used. But I really don't understand why you would want to switch, if it works fine already

Matrix TV was custom Firmware we made for a seller in USA. We do this often for dealers looking for this. It was flashed onto HD5s at our warehouse and then shipped to them You cant convert it back to buzz without us reflashing it again.

Thanks Guys for your support and info. Problem was, I had connected the TV through a recorder( EZ 130). Hence my TV was unable to control BUZZ U5 ( On /Off/Voleume) , A direct HDMI connection to tv solved the problem. tha nks again!

First of all, don't hijack other threads, especially since your issue is unrelated. Secondly, if you were hoping to use the box with "free" servers you find posted today and gone before you even try them, you will be very disappointed. Find a service, and buy a subscription. Subs are pretty cheap, and some even offer short trials so you can try (to ensure you like the channel lineup they offer). And this is the wrong forum if you are looking for services, since we only support BuzzTV hardware/software in this forum.

Some servers have started adding passwords to certain VOD Due to adult content, or mature content If the server requires it, we support it So you can't disable it.

I think you may have gotten these 2 mixed up. The 4500 and Android 9 boxes. We were backing up the entire OS. So yes depending on the amount of data you had on the box. It could take 45 minutes. As you're backing up GBs of data. On Android 11 devices with our recent OTA update. We made a new Backup/Restore feature for the Buzz app only. So yes taking 3 seconds is normal as the data is basically 1MB or less in size.

Absolutely. My modem, router, one of my access points, switches, buzz box in bedroom and the small TV in bedroom are all on 3x SmartUPS 1500VA units. Keeps everything up for about 45 minutes for short outages. Never needed to rely on them much before (were mostly for power conditioning), but this past year it has been a little more frequent, even considering a small generator now. And I am in a big major North American city.

Hi, Yesterday support finally solved my problem by doing an update. This as change my format to M3U8/HLS. Thank you so much for your time and patience. Now I have what since many years I always wanted and it's working great. Regard Gilles

As nbs mentioned We removed it as we had too many support tickets and calls where users would have 0 categories by mistake and no idea how to get them back without doing a reset We will look into allowing hide All category again, but make it where you need at least one category visible still.

Thanks for all the help. Finally got it to control tv power and volume just took about 15-20 tries of scanning but eventually got it working.

In my case, I use Solid Explorer to transfer all files (since it also has network support, and I usually transfer straight to my NAS). But many people also prefer others like ES File explorer, or others. Hey many of the new 5 Series of Buzz boxes (maybe all), recently "Added Network sharing option which makes your internal device storage visible to other devices and computers on your home network" So you'd be able to browse the directories directly from your home PC.

On the Classic Holding down the Power button on the side of the box, acts as the Reset button as well The same thing for the E5 and HD5.
