  2. The Guide button on all of our remotes is a Universal Remote Button Which means its programmed to open the Guide of the Buzz app from anywhere on the box Lots of users use this, and the remote + box + app are fully designed around the Buzz app. We have no plans to remove the way the Guide Button is programmed on our remotes. So if this doesn't satisfy you, I would suggest getting a different remote for the box. Making the change you're requesting would upset a ton of more users than it would please, as we would be changing user behavior that has existed for over 6 years. no combining multiple EPG sources to prioritize against a single provider feed to fill gaps and manually assign missing info, no EPG channel logo editing for streams, etc. We have plans to add this in the future, but no set timeline. As currently more than 95% of our users do not use this and only use 1 provider per box, either MAC or XC Login. Hopefully this answers your questions

  4. Good for you. I am also from Québec, and I speak 3 languages fluently. And you want to talk about arrogance (from your comments in the previous post), feel free to look in the mirror, since YOU were the arrogant one, making assumptions that it was the box that was at fault and no matter what anyone said (to try to help and guide you to the source of the issues you were experiencing), you would get upset and continued expecting a fix/patch for the box. Buzz is usually pretty quick in issuing fixes for minor issues that needs fixing. Hell, I've even gotten fixes pushed withing hours of reporting issues (and I'm sure many other here have also). If you know everything, then I don't see why you even bother asking questions, especially when you refuse to accept any guidance. We all have lives outside these forums (you are no exceptional god - sorry to burst your bubble). With at least 15 buzztv boxes in our possession and access to multiple services, many of us have seen and experienced a little more than the average iptv user. So when possible, we try to help people as much as possible. And if the issues are found to be legit buzz box hardware or software issues (which your issue was not), and we can reproduce them, they are put in the queue and depending on the criticality of the issues, they gets addressed by buzz in upcoming loads.

  5. 1. Reproduced and will be fixed on the next OTA this month 2. In our testing. 98% of all TVs worked via CEC. If they had CEC. We did find that some TVs settings required CEC to be turned on. 3. Android 11 doesn't support this. So we removed it. 4. Reproduced and will be fixed on the next OTA this month. Thanks for the comments.

  8. At the moment there is no other box that is announced that will be retrofitted with BuzzTV 6. And just to clarify, BuzzTV 6 is not an OS, it is an application. The OS on the P6 is Android 13, just like the OS on the X5 AX-C is Android 11. The design issue for the power connector was taken. For whatever reason it was taken (technical, financial, mix of both, whatever...), it is done. Also, I don't know what ORANGE color you are referring to. So far on Buzz Web site, there are only 2 options (not even 4 like you mentioned in your first post). The 8GB model is (Black/Black) The 16GB model is (Green/Black) The only Buzz box I recall having any Orange was the xrs4900 (great box, still my daily driver). And you can't satisfy everyone for colors. Some people will like it, and others won't.

  10. I tried using 2 different SATA SSD (1 intel, and one Samsung) using various adapters. The basic USB to SATA simple adapters, which are 1 or 2 USB pigtails off a SATA connector, at least the 2 models I have do not work at all. They just don't see any drive. In Storage under settings, you don't even see a blip when you plug it in. I suspect this has to do with the way the USB bridges in these units handle the drives. Then I tried with a few different powered USB disk docks (2 models from Startech). With drives configured with MBR and formatted as single exFAT partition, the drives are seen, but as soon as you plug them in, they show up under the storage settings menu, but then go to "safely ejected" immediately. I even tried to do a "full format" instead of just quick format, and made no difference. Then just out of curiosity, I decided to reformat the drives in NTFS (the only other available option on my W10 machine) and then put them back in the dock and they were seen, and I even added them as my PVR destination and recorded on them without an issue. I'm surprised that Android box preferred NTFS over exFAT, but it could have something to do with kernel modules, so not sure. USB storage is definitely pickier on the P6. But some do work fine. The compatibility of more USB media, is surely something for them to work on in future firmware.

  11. Numerated items above: Powerstation box HDMI Cable Power supply Cable for power supply Silicon plugs (Green/Yellow) to plug any unused ports on the box, should you wish. Energizer AA batteries (as usual, no cheap batteries here) extra retaining rubber plug for NVMe Buzz BT500 remote Connectors on both sides of the box Front side: USB3, USB2, and USBC along with the green power button with the buzz logo on it. Back side: Power connector, TF (MicroSD), Optical connector, HDMI and gigabit Ethernet port. (Not pictured) There is a small LED bar on the top of the box (under one of those hex patterns) And it is Green when power on, Red when in suspend (I assume will be same when powered off), and nice touch, you can turn the LED BAR off all together from within the menus. Cover comes off the bottom, to reveal an NVMe slot. There is already a single rubber retainer in the 2280 size location. However you can surely install 2230, up to 2280 NVMe drives, and either move the existing plug to support it, or use the spare one if you are using something smaller than a 2280. Power supply is a universal 100-240V, 50/60Hz with c(UL)us certification markings. Unlike previous Buzz power supplies, this powersupply has a separate 2 pin power cable going to it as you can see. No ground and does not take up more than one plug on an outlet or any power bar. I received the North American version so the power cable has the standard NEMA plug on it, but for other countries, I assume buzz will either include a universal plug adapter, or a different power cable to connect to the power supply. The included power cable connecting to the power supply is about 2.5ft long, and the power supply with the cable going all the way to the barrel is about 3.5ft long, giving you a total length of about 6ft. For those who care about the power supply other specs, it is rated as 12V 3A. The barrel connector at the end has a 5.5mm OD, 2.1mm ID (pulled out my calipers to confirm) and is Center Positive. This box is quite a bit bigger than other buzz boxes. It measures roughly 6 inches (~15cm - front to back) x 5 inches (~ 13cm side to side) x just over 2 inches high (~5cm). measurements are approximate

  16. I think this was a mistake We currently have 5 or so users with this issue It seems to only happen with users that are using Mesh Networks for their Wifi We cannot reproduce it ourselves though, so it makes it difficult to fix. Were in contact with Amlogic in regards to a solution for this We currently have one in their new SDK, but the SDK has some other bugs so were waiting on fixes for that.

  19. The U5 has as similar housing as the XRS4900 with the distinctive honeycomb pattern on the top cover. The guts are similar to the X5 (except for the internal storage which is 32GB), and features the Amlogic S905X4 chipset. This Quad-core Arm Cortex-A55 processor with ARM-G31 MP2 GPU support up to 4K with the various profiles listed below in the specs. U5 TV Box runs on Android 11 OS with preinstalled BuzzTV 5 app/launcher with quick access to Live TV, PVR+, VOD, and other features. Like the xrs4900 is also has a 2.5-inch SSD / HDD SATA bay for use with PVR, TimeShift or download from VOD. Specifications (taken from Buzz web site) Processing: Operating System : Android OS 11 CPU : Amlogic S905X4 Quad-core 64bit Cortex-A55 GPU : Mali-G31 MP2 RAM : 4GB DDR4 Storage : 32GB eMMC Connectivity: WIFI : 2T/2R Dual Band LAN : 100/1000M BT : 5.0 USB2.0 : 2 USB3.0 : 1 Type C : Data Only MicroSD : 1 Optical Audio : 1 Power Interface : 1 HDMI 2.1 (CEC) : 1 SATA Internal HDD : 1 Slot Video: Output Resolution : 4K (3840 x 2160) Video Decoder : H.265 4K MP-10@L5.1 75fps , AV1 , VP9 4K profile 2 60fps, , H.264 4K HP@L5.1 30fps (AVC) 60fps (MVC) Video Format : TS , MKV , FLV , MOV , AVI , RM , MP4 Audio Format : MPEG-1 Layer 1,2 , AAC-LC , HE AAC V1/V2 Image Decoder : JPG , BMP , GIF , PNG Dimensions: Height : 3 cm Length : 12 cm Width : 12 cm Package Contents: U5 Device BT-400 Remote Control HDMI Cable North American Power Supply 2 x AAA Premium Batteries Quick Start Card And another nice pic I found on another web site: Looks like Buzz will also be releasing an Essentials E5 (E Series) and Basic B5 (B Series) device in the near future. 20. We have a new way for Backup/Restore that were going to offer soon Which is TWRP. We removed our current solution because it wasn't working properly and took way too long to Backup. If you want to be removed from the Daily Betas, please just PM me your MAC and I can do that You're on an Internal Beta, so bugs and crashes can be expected. I apologize that it happened to you though. Sorry if automatic updates isn't what you're looking for, its just how we do it. Not all companies are the same. And we have never advertised that our boxes are rooted, so it shouldn't be implied that they come this way either. If you would have emailed us or asked on this forum, that would have been answered for you right away. Our remotes are designed mainly for IPTV, as that is what our boxes are being promoted and sold for mainly.

  26. - The Updated Keyboard Shift button, now has 2 different states: short press turn on 1-time letter capitalization, long press turns on capitalization until clicked on Shift again - The Updated Keyboard, now when you long press on buttons with letters , it writes capitalized letters as if Shift was active. I had noticed that before this update that the Caps on the KB worked in a better fashion then other KB's .. they stayed on till you turned off (shift). That was handy. This new update seems even better. I have tested it but not extensively. It works as outlined, as it seemed with the short test I did. Cool beans

  27. Sorry dude, but this device looks like a bunch of snake oil. There is 0 technical information on it. Just a bunch of marketing buzz words. Any testing and non-bias reviews have shown negligible differences. I don't see how you say this is applicable to both wired and wireless. This is a ethernet device with RJ45 ends. What does that have to do with wireless ? Your money is better spent replacing aging network hardware people may have in their network setups already. Crappy old model Dlink switches are huge problems on networks even if your devices are not directly plugged into them. I have had at least 3 cases (one being my own network), where an old dlink switch was causing chaos on the network. Had all sorts of dropped packets, inexplicably, devices would stop communicating and other bizarre issues. I tried for weeks to figure out the issue, until one day I just unplugged and replaced the dlink switch with another switch, and the whole network just stabilized. Worst part is this dlink switch I replaced was not even a "main" switch, it was just a small switch I had in my garage for the occasional testing. My main switch at the time was a 24port Netgear Prosafe managed switch. The dlink was not even feeding anything at the time, it was just connected to my main switch. Also, if you do have cables running in the house, ensure they are of a good quality. And if you crimped your own ends, make sure the connections were properly done. The amount of poor crimping I have seen, is nuts. If your cables run very close to power cables, that feed high powered devices (like water heaters, larger motor/compressors, heating systems, etc..) try to use shielded cable (STP instead of the usual UTP). It does make a huge difference for network stability. Cables are NOT all the same. And just because they are stamped CAT 7, CAT 8, etc.. does not always mean they are better. I'd prefer a good quality CAT 5, over crappy $1 cable claiming to be a CAT 7. And just because those $10 network cable testers say the cable is good, does not mean it is good. Just means there is continuity on all pins. But when you put a load on it, it may not behave properly. Fix the source of the issues, rather than spending money on these snake oil products. The U5 is NOT the problem. It just streams. I have a U5, X5, Classic, E5, B5 and older boxes on my home network and have no issues with freezing on any of them (at least not once I got rid of that crappy switch). I was at mom's yesterday and she has the lowest model (the B5) and for 3 hours I was there, there was not a single glitch. But in her case, the modem/router and the B5 are right next to each other, connected with short cat 6A cable, with no other wired devices on the modem. rock solid.

  31. If you mean pre install the apps into a Firmware update No we have no plans to do that. A lot of those can be easily found in the Playstore already. We try to limit pre installed apps as they just add to the size of a Firmware and also bloat ware for the users that don't use them at all.

  44. So to update on this bug that was reported. We looked into this. We found out Audio Passthrough for 5.1 Audio was broken on the Linux Kernel. We were able to fix it and can confirm it works via SPDIF (U5 + X5s) and HDMI for Passthrough We tried it on the Buzz 5 App + Plex + Kodi + VLC. Were just doing some more testing on it, but everything looks good so far So we will include this fix on our next OTA update scheduled for early November.
