Force USB Time Shift?

I have been searching, but found nothing on this, can someone explain please?

My unit explains nothing, It has the Force USB TS button, below the TS button. Is there a secret hidden explanation menu I am missing? And I am not trying to be a smartass, I would like to know what this feature does. My assumption is that it forces TS to my external 1TB SSD. But, we all know what they say about "assuming" things.

does it not give you a description to the right of screen when you hilite force usb ts?

No, no description, and I did check again. Hit the arrow to the left to see if there was a hidden menu too. Nothing.

no left arrow needed

when you scroll down there is a description on right side of screen

perhaps it wasn't implemented in this update

anyways it's to force ts to work on channels that have catchup

you have to also pick a location where to store ts cache
