bad8511 Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 Hey everyone, love the new stick but I'm having an issue where the remote doesn't wake it up. I have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to turn on, any ideas what might be causing this issue? Quote

nbs. Posted June 19, 2020 Posted June 19, 2020 I understand that but if you hook up the ir extender you can see if it will turn it on Quote
gmeades Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 I have the IR extender plugged in, and the remote does not wake up the vid stick. I also have the ARQ-100 remote, and it doesn't wake up the vid stick either. Neither remote does. Quote

You need to have the IR extender hooked up and make sure the remote can see the IR extender you can not hide it behind your tv that has to be visible. Quote

As I said, the IR extender is connected, and yes, it is where the remote can see it. So, to be more clear - It is NOT hidden behind anything. No idea why you would even think that. The IR extender is 1. connected to the ST4000, 2. facing forward, and 3. directly in front of the remote. It does not make any difference at all. Still does not wake up the ST4000.
