Is there a way to mark Vod/series as watched when viewed with an eternal player on Buzz 5?

Yes there is

When in Live TV or VOD
Press Menu Button
Go to settings
Go to Configuration

You can change the Player for VOD/TV Series to External

The next time you play a Movie or TV Show, you will be shown the external video players you have installed on the box and can choose which one you would like to use.

That what I do.

What I asked was is there anyway to mark them as "watched/viewed ".

Like it does with the internal player where it puts an eye in the corner to show its been viewed/watched.

It doesn't do it on an external player.

So you can keep up with which episode/movie you have watched.

Something like with Plex where you can manually "Mark" a TV show or movies as watcbed

Not right now
But I think we can add something like this though.

I think it would be a good addition to have considering the internal player doesn't play all the different formats that the VOD and TV series are encoded in.

It would be a thumbs up from me. 👍

Am curious which Codecs those are?
The default player built into our app is VLC
Its libvlc, so the VLC app without the VLC UI.

Thanks for that.

But it won't do what I asked now will it.

It will give me a list of files played with VLC  like 5473464.mkv and 3577333.mkv which doesn't help that much and it won't mark them as played in buzz 5.

Thanks for your help though.

you don't get a thumbnail?

I just tried several more shows and one was mp4 but I got a thumbnail so I can see what it is

Yes I get a thumbnail,  but it doesn't show what it is or what episode it is.

So not that helpful, that's why i asked the question, it's been answered now and I know it can't be done atm.

But thanks for trying to help.
