Buzztv 6 mobile app

Just downloaded the app from the google playstore and the mac address can not be changed. That will be a serious issue for those with iptv subs that use mac addresses especially in Canada. I bought the g series box to use the buzz tv 6 app for that specific reason I hope that they fix this issue. Its a big one in my opinion.

You mention G-Series box and your title says Buzztv mobile app.  The app that will be for the G-Series box is NOT the mobile app.  The Mobile app is exactly that, for Mobile devices only.  It is not meant for use on the GSeries box.  And it is the first release, so it will surely have issues.  It was just released for early evaluation.

I just checked and I can assume you the version on the G-Series box DOES allow you to edit the MAC address, and even the DEVICEID 1 and 2 fields.

I am not 100% sure if the version is yet available to the general public, but if it is not I am sure it will be shortly.

I was just letting you guys know the situation, i was talking about the mobile app, i meant it as feedback for that and i mentioned the g series box as a precaution just in case it happens on that app as well.

it worx fine on the box and it's not the same app

I one feedback I have is you can make it possible to program your buzz 6 box to record while you are out just saying i know it is still a very early release

the box doesn't use the mobile version

Just another update so the app is now available on the google playstore so i installed it on my g series box, so far so good. Im assuming you can use this app on other official android boxes. I did test it but i was unable to add a server because when i highlighted the servers icon and press ok to access it it wont do anything. But it did work on the g series box. Just something i noticed

Its locked to the gbox

Other devices get a demo server 

Nothing else

This version will probably always be locked to BuzzTV boxes. 

For now it is the Gbox (since that is the only official google box BuzzTV makes), but who knows if they eventually come out with another one.

All other BuzzTV boxes (like the Classic, X5, U5, etc..) still get their BuzzTV 5 software via OTA updates direct from Buzz.  And the P6 and L1 get BuzzTV 6 via OTA updates.

why would they make it available to any box not made by buzz?

I guess i thought because it was available on the google playstore that it might happen. But making it only for buzz boxes makes sense.
