JC1 Posted Friday at 03:31 PM Posted Friday at 03:31 PM This started I would say 3-4 months ago around the time of some FW updates. Basically: - I power on the unit. It connects to the IPTV portal and all seems Kosher. Except I have no video, the screen is black no matter which channel is displayed. If I try PVR videos on the unit, they also do not display any image. - I turn off the unit and I power it back on. It comes back. All is well, video comes through with no issues. This does not happen every day, perhaps once a week or once every other week. Any ideas/steps to troubleshoot? Quote
Emporium Posted Friday at 04:23 PM Posted Friday at 04:23 PM Can you provide some more info ? Classic, or Classic Anniversary ? What firmware version and what software version are you running on the box ? Quote

V20251127 I do not see anywhere else where a software version would be displayed (other than the obvious Android 11). Edited Friday at 04:55 PM by JC1 Quote
Emporium Posted Friday at 05:07 PM Posted Friday at 05:07 PM (edited) When in the TV screen, press the menu button, and it would be on the bottom left.. 5.0.xxx Oh, and do you have you have your box set for shutdown or suspend when you press power button ? ie: when you power up, do you see the buzz logo every time ? nbs. Posted Friday at 05:53 PM Posted Friday at 05:53 PM Having it boot up every day is the best imo. 3 Quote

Emporium Posted Saturday at 04:19 PM Posted Saturday at 04:19 PM I had that issue ages ago (back in Nov 2023 - On firmware: V20231104 and IPTV version: 5.0.906) when the box first came out and it's like the video subsystem has failed to initialize. Provided logs to buzz and it was determined that the issue was that for some reason HDCP was not being activated. Since then I changed TV & Cables and it hasn't happened since. I suspect that the TV was occasionally incorrectly reporting HDCP capabilities, or cable was causing the problem. I do have another box (xrs4900), which is connected to my really old Sharp Aquos and if I accidently turn the box on, before the TV is on, there is no video shown by the box, and I need to reboot it.
