do have anything (external devices) else attached to the box? if yes then disconnect and try again.

if no then disconnect everything including HDMI and try to turn ON and see what happens.

also, try a different power outlet in the house if possible. 

any light indicating that its receiving power?

more info is always helpful and always provide anything you have done to troubleshoot.
