Pi Gor Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 Hello everyone, I'm having a connection problem with my Classic Anniversary box. I get the message, "Unable to load portal: not supported." I contacted my IPTV provider, and they gave me two new URLs, but unfortunately, it didn't work. They changed my connection, username, and password, but that didn't change anything; I still get the same message. I've reset my Classic box, both my routers, and my modem. I updated the firmware for my Classic box 15 days ago. The result is still the same message. Is one or more settings on my Classic box misconfigured? There are so many possibilities that I'm completely lost. I need help. Please help me! *Note: I'm using Google Translate. Quote
Pi Gor Posted December 31, 2025 Author Posted December 31, 2025 (edited) Hi gig63, yes, I'm using a VPN. Sorry, I forgot to mention it in my post. Edited December 31, 2025 by Pi Gor Quote
Emporium Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 Was it working previously ? Did they confirm that the subscription is not expired ? A few weeks ago, my wife was complaining about the same thing, and I tried a few things (with and without VPN), only to realize a few minutes later that I had forgotten to renew my own sub Needless to say, I did not say that to the wife. Told her it was a glitch which was fixed. As a test, have you tried installing something like IPTV Smarters app or even tivimate and try using that to connect to your service ? To see if it is software related ? Or if you have another device (or even on your phone), try to connect to the service ? Have you checked to make sure that there is no typo, extra space in URL, http vs https, case sensitive on user/password ? 2 Quote
Pi Gor Posted 12 hours ago Author Posted 12 hours ago Hello everyone, I can confirm that everything is working again since this morning. The only downside is that I have to reprogram all my favorites for TV channels and VOD movies. I noticed that for movies, I no longer have the description or the actors' names like before. I played around in the settings and lost this option. The problem might also be with the provider. For TV, the EPG guide is working perfectly. Issue resolved, and Happy New Year to all. Quote
Emporium Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Once you set up your favorites the way you want them, it is a good idea to go ahead and do a backup of your configurations. It backs up your server details, favorites, and even app settings. From BuzzTV (like when you are in LiveTV), press Menu->Settings->Configuration and scroll down to backup & Restore. Make sure to back it up onto a USB stick and not internal. That way when you reset your box, you don't delete the file it generates. The file generated is typically a tiny zip file. Perfect use for those old tiny USB sticks which are typically too small to hold anything else Cheers, and happy new year to all. 2 Quote
sea157 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago (edited) While I was typing I noticed Emporium beat me to this answer. lol "That is why before I have any problems it is always a good Idea to make a backup of a good working system on a small flash drive. That way if you ever need to hard rest your box you will have all your server and channel setting to restore." Edited 12 hours ago by sea157 1 Quote
Emporium Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago And you can do this backup, every couple of months if you want (doesn't overwrite the old backup), or whenever you know you have made a few changes to your favorites or added new servers. Yes, this comes from a backup-a-holic 1 Quote
Pi Gor Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago Hello, yes, I have a backup with a URL that is no longer valid. Furthermore, my provider gave me a new username, password, and URL. I asked my provider if it was possible to recover my old account information using the URL, and they confirmed that it would be impossible at the moment. Nothing had been working for over 24 hours, and they suggested I change my login details, thinking that would solve the problem. I accepted the change. So now I have to start from scratch. I don't think my bookmarks from my old account can be merged with my new one. I read that the Classic box doesn't do that. Quote
sea157 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago (edited) If you have a backup with your old URL, Username and password you could still use that one. All you would have to do is edit that backup once restored, with your new URL, username and password. That way if you had all your channels backed up in your old backup all your channels and favorite channels would be restored. I just went through this with one of my servers that changed to a new URL. Edited 10 hours ago by sea157 1 Quote

And since you're using a VPN, CloudFlare blocks a lot of IPs from VPNs as you're not the only one using that IP address Usually trying different cities etc on your VPN will resolve the error. And rebooting the box as well. 4 Quote
