Shari Schwarzenbart Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 I have been having trouble connecting to Google Play on my Classic Anniversary box. When I go into the app it says "no internet connection, try again" and my internet connection is fine. I was told from other sources that when this happens, to uninstall updates. This worked when it happened on my P6, but not on my Classic Anniversary box. I was then told to clear cache and data, which I did, both of which still have no effect on the problem. I don't know what else to do. Because of this I'm having some trouble also with a few other apps downloaded from Google Play as well and I can't fix them because I can't get into the Playstore. Quote
Shari Schwarzenbart Posted December 30, 2025 Author Posted December 30, 2025 This is the Classic Anniversary box, and I just did the latest update on Dec 15th. Quote
nbs. Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 A hard reset fixed the issue for another user with the same issue 1 Quote
Pi Gor Posted yesterday at 04:54 PM Posted yesterday at 04:54 PM How to perform a factory reset on the Classic Anniversary Quote
dishuser Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago can't you use the button on the side of the box? Quote
Pi Gor Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Thanks NBS for the link, everything went smoothly and it was quick. Dishuser, the button on the left side is for turning the device off or restarting it. It's impossible to perform a factory reset with that button. Thanks again for your help. Quote

We know it is by defaut a power button, but on the original Classic, you could also hold the side button as you plugged the power in, and it achieved the same as if you put something in AV hole and pushed that button. I don't have an Anniversary edition, but I would assume it was the same for that aspect. 1 Quote
