allinghj Posted June 11 Posted June 11 When I turn off my TV using my TV remote, it changes the channel on my STB. Even when I turn off my TV using the button on the TV, it changes the channel on my STB. This being the case, I cant start a recording and go to bed because I know shutting off my TV will stop the recording and change the channel on my STB. The only workaround that I've found, and it's not a good one, is to leave my TV on all night. Does anyone know a better workaround? Quote
allinghj Posted June 12 Author Posted June 12 I just tried that but to no avail. When I turn off the TV with the Buzz remote, the stb channel still gets changed to channel 8 (BBC 4). I think it may be something Buzz needs to address in a future update. Until then I will have to leave my TV on all night. Quote

We use the NEC Protocol for IR Codes, so do many other devices like LG Sometimes they overlap between other devices This isn't something we can fix unfortunately Quote
allinghj Posted Friday at 05:17 PM Author Posted Friday at 05:17 PM I found a work around (sort of). If I'm watching something at night and I want to go to bed here's what I do. I set the timer record to start in 2 minutes. Then I shut off my TV before the timer recording starts. That seems to work but I miss a couple of minutes...no big deal. I would encourage the Buzz folks to keep working on this issue. It must be solvable because neither my Formuler nor my Dreamlink have this issue. Quote
nbs. Posted Friday at 06:11 PM Posted Friday at 06:11 PM Formuler and dreamlink use different ir codes so it's not solvable 2 Quote
dishuser Posted Friday at 07:43 PM Posted Friday at 07:43 PM formuler and dreamlink are one and the same 1 Quote
