nbs. Posted Saturday at 04:36 PM Posted Saturday at 04:36 PM What is your current firmware and software?HH9 Have you rebooted your modem? Hard wired? If wifi and you have extenders reboot them too Quote
Emporium Posted Saturday at 04:51 PM Posted Saturday at 04:51 PM If all else works, try the following.. Go to "Settings". Select "Apps". Scroll all the way down, and select "Show system apps".. The scroll down again and find and select "BuzzTV OTA". The select "Clear Data". Could have been a bad download, this should clear it and force it to recheck. But as nbs mentioned, what is your current f/w and s/w. Quote

It's just the Updater. NOT the "BuzzTV" app That would definitely clear all the server info/favorites, etc... But having said that, it is always useful to have a backup. Quote

I am about ready to do a hard factory reset as a last attempt to fix this, but I hate to lose everything I have set up. Quote

OK it gives you same amount of data, but it surely cleared cache at the same time, so clear data clears both. After doing that, does it still tell you you have an update waiting ? And still failing ? What firmware "ICON" are you referring to ? When you go to the updates screen (Settings->updates), then on the left side it should show you your current firmware (something like V2025xxxxx) and buzztv 5 software version (5.0.xxx). Quote

I did a hard factory reset, after that it allowed me to download the firmware update. Before I did the reset I could not even go into the area that showed you what firmware versions or software version you even had. Now tomorrow I will try to reload everything I had on my box and setup all my servers and favorite channels again. That is the only thing I hate when I have to do a factory reset! I had enough with it today. Quote

This is the one that will take me the most time to reset everything. 2 Quote
Emporium Posted yesterday at 03:50 PM Posted yesterday at 03:50 PM Don't know what app you are using (and we can't mention it since it is not a buzz app), but many of the 3rd party apps also have their own back/restore options to be able to save your playlists and settings. I am pretty sure at least one of the major 3rd party iptv apps (tivi*) does have a back/restore function also, which I am pretty sure it backs up your playlists and favorites. For other apps (since there are a few new decent ones also), I guess it is a feature that should be suggested to the devs. 1 Quote

But since I have (2) of the U5's I was luckily enough to just make another (tivi*) backup from my second U5 and restore it on my first U5 and everything is working GREAT again. THIS SURE SAVE ME A LOT Of TIME and HASSEL! Thanks for all you help once again Emporium!!! 1 Quote
