Firmware is up to date, when i use apps on the U5 it does not let me use the keyboard to search etc unless i go into device preferences

untick keyboard retick keyboard before i can use and i need to do this constantly to be able to use the search function on certain apps

this is an issue on both my U5 boxes but not an issue on my X5. Could you pkease help as it is frustrating.

Its not a software issue its a firmware issue since last update, since the firmware update i cannot search correctly without doing as i stated in the original post.

i.e searching using keyboard within another app not the buzz tv app it wont let me doing it without turning on and off the keyboard in device preferences.

All apps do you want a photo ? As soon as i go to the search bar in any app it says

use the keyboard on your mobile device.

the only way to resolve this is to go to 

settings, device preferences, keyboard, manage keyboard turn off virtual remote keyboard then turn back on.

i can then search as normal within any app for so long before i have to go through all of the above again and again.

it IS an issue with the firmware on this box ( and i have 2 U5 boxes ) and it happens on Both Boxes and my X5 has no issues whatsoever ?

No you haven’t as I stated it is an issue on both my U5 boxes and not a Bluetooth issue.

Two people with u5s don't have the issue so it's not a firmware issue period

If you had been willing to provide info instead of just complaining about it working on your x5s I would have suggested a reset to fix your problem
