Njscan Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Trying to record content from my IPTV subscription. I’ve tried a scheduled event and a direct recording using the RED button on my remote. It goes through the motions, but I’m unable to find any recordings. I have a friend who is having the same problem. Yes, I have the latest firmware. Suggestions? Quote

Njscan Posted January 25 Author Posted January 25 One other piece of info that might be relevant. The first time I powered the box on, and started looking at each feature, inr3call that the PVR feature mentioned that PVR required access to something. Since I was not ready to try the PVR I did not proceed. I never saw that message again. Quote

Njscan Posted January 25 Author Posted January 25 I’m sorry, but I have no idea what you are referring to? I entered the server address I received from my IPTV provider. I view the programming using the LIVE TV option. I have not installed any software . For viewing, it’s working just fine. Can you explain more about such software? Quote

Njscan Posted January 25 Author Posted January 25 No, only to the internal storage. No error messages, and I have a friend who is having the issue. after I make the recording, I’m looking in the PVR recording section. Nothing there. So what is the software you are referring to? Quote

Njscan Posted January 26 Author Posted January 26 Which button is the “menu” button?. My remote is the BT-250 which comes with the Classic mode. Is it the button with 4 horizontal lines, located at the top left above the large round selector? Therevisntvany button labeled menu. THE ONLY VERSION displayed anywhere is the firmware which I posted at the beginning of this post. Ive been asked to post the software version - what firmware? On the BUZZTV Classic, they software is the operating system which is the firmware version. I now know of two other people having the same problem. I’m not seeing any other mention that additional software needs to be installed in order to use the PVR feature. Is this correct? Quote
Njscan Posted January 26 Author Posted January 26 Ok, I just discovered that the screen size was placing the software version off screen. version is 5.0.946 updated 1/03/2025 ive had this problem for about 1 month. Quote
dishuser Posted January 26 Posted January 26 menu button is above the d pad left side it has 3 lines on it Quote

Njscan Posted January 26 Author Posted January 26 No idea. I’m new to IPTV. I received the Classic box. Installed the server address and it’s been working just fine. Both live tv and VOD are working just fine. It’s a bit frustrating given the extremely poor user manual. I wish more info was available. Quote

Njscan Posted January 26 Author Posted January 26 Ok, so I entered the info my provider sent me. Let me reach out to him. This might be my issue Quote
Emporium Posted January 26 Posted January 26 (edited) You said you "installed the server address". You went to Server screen, and did you choose MAC, XC API, or M3U ? You can go there now, and when you scroll to MAC, XC APi and M3U, which one has your subscription ? If you want to record one channel while watchin something else, your provider needs to support multiple connections (because each stream/channel you you are watching/recording is considered as one connection.. MAC does not support that, it only supports a single connection. You should however be able to record what you are watching. When watching TV, hit the Menu button, go to PVR, then PVR Options.. What is Recoding storage location set to ? Edited January 26 by Emporium Quote
Njscan Posted January 26 Author Posted January 26 I just got a response from my provider. They say no additional info beyond the server is required. Quote
