if I do not, I guess I will have to buy one on amazon or kijiji or ali baba.

If you check on amazon Canada, search for product "B01LAIUWJY" and it should be what you need.  It is jut under CDN$8.

According to description, it is  TRRS PINOUT: Tip Left, Ring1: Right, Ring 2: Video, Sleeve: Ground.   So it should work as expected.

And it is fulfilled by amazon, so if it is not as per description, should be simple enough to return.

Thanks, Its nice to have the 3.5millimetre jack on the buzz tv box, but it's also nicer when you know the correct pinouts.

unfortunately B01LAIUWJY does not come up on AmzCA so I will go to the dollar store and bring my multi metre and check the continuity of the cables they sell and make sure its the correct pinouts

The pinouts are listed above.  I mentioned them in my post above, and YOU even mention them in your last post in this thread in July 2023..

Honestly, even if they have the wrong pinout, just adjust which cable goes to which color.  As long as the ground is at the base (only one that is important), the rest can be swapped.  The biggest issue I found (since I had a few of these cables) is not even the pinout, since you can just buzz them out and adjust which cable goes to which color.   It is actually the clearance at the base.  I had some of these cables which for some reason the jack was longer (more exposed at the base), so it would go into the hole ever so slightly too deep.  So to get it to work, I had to play with it, and pull it out by a fraction of a millimeter.  I eventually got one that was perfect depth, so I didn't need play with it.

And BTW: B01LAIUWJY  does still exist.. Just ridiculously overpriced by some greedy 3rd party.

Lol.. Chances are very slim that this would work... 🙂  I've tried a few of these creative versions and without any active conversions, good luck.

But something like this one seems to be the correct order of rings..

Or one of these HDMI to composite

I know, it's just that I would prefer not to order things and have to go thru the hassle of returning them.   I am more of a do your homework and buy the right thing once kind of person.   I have bought cable in the past from Amz and had the wrong pinout despite the listing showing the correct pinouts, I am talking about the ground.  I know I can swap the colours if needed be

And how are you supposed to protect yourself on errors like that ?  It's not like you don't have the pinouts, and if seller said one thing and you got another, then that is not something you could have foreseen.

Worst case, guess you can always just buy the required connectors and build your own cable.

Or just spend a little bit more and get an HDMI to AV converter, and you can use it with any device.  After all this time, I'd probably just get the converter.

Something like this:
