WiFi password window keeps closing

I'm trying to set up my VidStick. I get to the screen when it asks me to connect to the WiFi. When I select my network to fill in the password, the keyboard pops up but then closes after I enter the first character. Any idea how to keep the keyboard up to finish inputting my password?

take out batteries from remote and reboot your stick then try again.

if you can use pc keyboard try that if nothing works.
