I thought it was possible, while watching a channel live tv to pause the show for a few minutes or rewind a bit if I missed something.

No it's not possible unless your service has catchup

so on the 4900 the hard drive is not automatically recording as you watch, I thought that was a new feature with Buzz tv5?

Is a feature we have in the works
But is currently not available 

I do not have a date on this feature being added though

I am wondering the download speed on 500 megabytes network.  My buzztv xrs4000 download speed is only 90 megabytes. I am curious if the speed is faster on buzztv xrs4900
