like I said thumbnail is created at end of recording if a message pops up showing that means recording was stopped or interrupted my son is using my u5 and has no problems recording 1-2-3 hour movies to ssd

because you're too stupid to check why you haven't got an update you expect them to extend the warranty? I feel sorry for the other manufacturer you just purchased from...lol

are you watching same channel that you're recording?

I have mine turned on for recording on the fly

strange mine doesn't do you have one button record turned on or off?

of course it's fine I've recorded what I watched and it froze but recording didn't or you don't want a thumbnail created when you go to pvr?

the u5 will react the same as a stick using most tv's usb port for power(my tv's usb powers my stick just fine but that's the only one out of five) it'll keep rebooting or crash the 3900 is 3amp no other 5v is for other boxes for $15-$20 I would just stick with what box/device came with

did you try livetv/menu/settings/check updates?

they don't do os upgrades and I've gotten many,many software updates this year

I tried a 5v on my 4900 last week and it stayed on red light...never booted

I only tested backlight once for a few presses after that never again I hate having to recharge my batteries...lol

ya the bt-200 is my favourite as well can start a download and only turn tv off when I crash

ya I checked to see if any different options but like you said there was none at least vlc comes preinstalled so no biggie plus vlc gives better audio options speaking of audio when I hooked up my 3900 to format drive the bootup scared the crap out of me...lol

so I downloaded four 4k movies today and none had any audio...lol they play fine in vlc though
