I'm gonna remove the drive from an old dell laptop and load EaseUS Partition Master and use that to format drive with no OS

it makes no sense that fat32 is default it makes the drive pretty much useless maybe a firmware update can change that? I formatted with my 3900 first as device then as removable so 2 formats and my previous recording were still there...lol

I can download hd just not 4k formatted again and am trying john wick 4 in 4k

can't check it on pc because I can't find my storage case only case I found was for a 3.5" try any 4k movie I tried about 5 and all failed I would try my stick but it melted in my x5...lol

it shows almost 112gb of 120gb available last year I had an issue with my x5 and 64gb stick so I formatted it with my 4900 and then it worked on my x5 ans I was able to download a 35gb movie so it doesn't use fat32

try cec on if that don't work try virtual cec on

every download fails at 4.29 gb 5.0.893

in live tv press menu scroll to settings scroll to check updates I promise you it wil not say "latest update installed." because that's impossible there is a difference between firmware and software

in livetv press menu and look for software version at the bottom if it's not 5.0.893 then press settings/check updates to test speed go to app store(aptoide) or google play store and download analiti

you don't mention your download speed at the box do you have a hard drive plugged in the base?

just tried robert shaw and it found jaws plays fine

it will autofill if left blank

if you mean mac press blue button like it shows at bottom of screen you can also change device id that way

did you change stream format to ts?

when recording press menu/settings/account info how many active connections are showing?

are you staying on that channel or changing it?

I used a file explorer app and moved it the one on top is from my 4900 and the other is from my x5

and if you notice after you do a backup it opens the download folder on the internal drive

now click on restore do you see your backup?

if you want I can post a video from the 5 series that gives you a choice the diffence is OS but I have a backup from my x5 and my 4900 on same stick and I can use either on both devices since it's only backing up settings,servers,favourites and favourite groups
