M3U epg was never implemented therefor wasn't supported. We had no requests for this until recently. If your using Streaming Lines or Portal EPG works with no issues. We sent beta testers an update yesterday which support EPG for M3U which means any day were sending a public update for this.
xpl3000 had issues when it first came out but within a few months after launch most bugs are ironed out. xpl3000 is android 7 which we mastered years ago and xr4000 is android 9. The dev team is doing its best to keep up with bug fixes and customers requests.
if your a beta test a new update was sent yesterday. however the micro freezing issue requires a new firmware update which were sending publicly early next week
Yes you can play your blue ray movies. you will need to download a video player such as VLC or MX player from the app store. If you want to play off your network try plex or kodi.
when you type the portal URL on your phone or PC browser does it work?

We reported this issue of Ethernet disconnecting when using VPN to Amlogic. This problem is happening to all S905x2 chipsets. For time being use Wi-Fi when using VPN to avoid disconnects.
