XRS4500/ XRS4500 MAX backup transfer ?
Tlr replied to sea157's topic in XR4500 / XRS4500 / XRS4500 MAX
Can you backup up favorites from 1 MAC server and restore to another MAC server? Using U5, firmware version 20230815 -
@Saif Barry - Sorry for the tardy reply. I updated to the new Operating System and all is good now. (At least so far so good!!)

Nbs: I have not done a pin reset yet. Will this reset eveything so that I lose my favorites, etc.? Emporium: No HD attached.

Any update on this problem? I am experiencing the same thing with one of my U5's. It will stutter very fast and then reboot ramdomly, sometimes multiple times a day.

every time I turn the unit off it turns back on by itself.

I had an issue with the U5 turning itself on at night when I was asleep. I rectified it by turning off the virtaul CEC as well as the CEC. I also set the powerkey to go to sleep so that when I power it down (off), it boots into LiveTV when I push the power on. Perhaps this will help? -
MAybe turning on the Allow STB to power on and power off TV in the CEC settings?
-
So how can you program the TV to power up at the same time as the BuzzTV?

Thank you for the feedback. I just purchased the ARQ-200 and I like it better due to backlight and Querty keyboard. All is working well however I can't seem to put it into learning mode. Any suggestions as I have scoured this site and the internet and no luck... just about learning mode for the ARQ-100.

Tried that and it doesn't not work.... perhaps I need to repair the remote?

The mouse arrow appears on the screeen and moves very well however anyone know how to scroll up and down with the BT250?
-
Thank you for the clarification. I checked menu/settings/configuration/app settings and it was already set to never. Maybe my issue is the TV turning itself and the box on. It is a pain as it is the middle of the night and never during the day..... weird to say the least.
-
Went to home page/settings/device preferences/about and there is a factory reset but again it only offers to reset or cancel, no option to pick a time or "never."
-
Thank you for the feedback. Where exactly on the U5 box is the reset? I see the restart but it is either restart or cancel... no option to indicate never option.

U5 keeps turning itself off, along with Remote Control issues...

After 3 days of fighting with this U5 (I have two other U5's as well) I finally got the U5 to turn off by double checking all CEC connections and insuring they are off on the Samsung TV and on the U5 as well. I then turned on the CEC virual and the U5 now turns off when I turn off the TV with the BT-400. Thank you for all the help! Now I still have issues with this same box turning itself back on ramdomly during the night (each night it only turns on once. I shut it off and all is well until the next night.) I have shut off CEC on both the Samsung TV and the U5, I have changed HDMI cables. I have restarted the U5 and I changed the power supply but no luck. The power button is set to shut off. Today I found another setting on the Samsung "Auto Protection" that was set to two hours. Apparently it acts like a screen saver and does the following: "If a still image is shown on the screen for longer than the time you selected, the TV will automatically activate Screen Burn Protection to prevent burned-in after-images that may damage the screen." I have set this to off and I will see tonight if that fixes the issue. I do not have this issue with my other 2 U5's connected to an LG OLED TV and an old Panasonice Plasma TV. -

Any suggestions for me with a U5 that doen't turn off? -
I have three U5 BuzzTV boxes and only one turns itself on during the night. I have have it connected to a Samsung UN50ES6820 TV via HDMI. I have turned off CEC and virual CEC on the BuzzTV box but it still turns itself on. I have not programmed any PVR recordings. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thank you... I will check with IPTV provider.
-
I have tried various countries on the VPN.... including my own country, all with the same result.
-
You may be right.... I originally thought it was a VPN issue so I opened a ticket and they are still working on it. I will make inquiries with the IPTV provider. Thank you!

For consideration: On the U5 home screen, in the downloaded app area, perhaps the ability to make a folder so that one could place all apps that don't need to to seen (ie; for privacy issues such as grand children with prying eyes).

On my U5 I use ExpressVPN and it works when I am in any app but it blocks BuzzTV Live TV portal. (Black Screen with no channels available for viewing) Does anyone else have this issue?
