The error message you're getting is a CloudFlare error. And since you're using a VPN, CloudFlare blocks a lot of IPs from VPNs as you're not the only one using that IP address Usually trying different cities etc on your VPN will resolve the error. And rebooting the box as well.

Do you have tunneled playback or RTS turned on in the configuration menu? And Backup Player is libvlc, so it going back to the home screen means the player is crashing on that stream. And the stream format feature, is just there to show what the server offers Its default to Auto Most servers only offer TS or HLS Auto plays HLS first and if that doesn't work it uses TS We can't add more, as every provider offers it themselves, and it doesn't work the way you think it does Some servers offer RTMP, but its rare.
