  1. Like allaboutbuzz mentioned, that app does depend on a lot of 3rd party external apps (and it's dependencies have changed a lot in the last few months). So unless you know what you are doing, you will have a hard time. "Advanced Download manager" is available from Google Play store ( search for "com.dv.adm", "ADM" or ecven "Advanced Download Manager" and you'll find it ). BeeTV supports one other download manager also which I don't recall, and I am not in front of it now. But you do need to pre-install the dependencies for any of the options to work. But like I mentioned, even BuzzTV 5 (which is also installed on the P6), with a proper service provider, works flawlessly for download VOD. Bottom line, the problem is NOT the box, it is the setup of your apps. However this is where I will stop, since this is a Buzz/BuzzTV support Forum, NOT a 3rd party app support forum. There are other forums out there if you need support for specific 3rd party apps.
  2. I just used BuzzTV 5 and downloaded a movie and worked without a hitch. Also used BeeTV which I have installed and configured it to download using Advanced Download Manager, and I downloaded another movie without an issue also. This one download nice and fast, since ADM split it into 4 threads so took about 4 minutes to download. BuzzTV is set to download to internal storage. And I have ADM set to download to my installed Nvme SSD drive. Keep in mind that this box runs on AndroidTV 13. So your apps need to be AndroidTV 13 compatible. BuzzTV 6 does not have download option yet, it is in the plans as far as I know.
  3. Keep in mind that the B5 is an entry level box and it only has USB2 ports (no USB3) so transfer speed would be limited. Also many of the cheaper kingston USB sticks are known to be very slow in write speeds, hence the cheap price. Recordings would be limited to low bitrate and assuning you are not doing much since the CPU is also entry level. If the stream get's interrupted or glitches a little, the recording will stop.
  4. Can you post more details ? What specific X5 model do you have (there are a few different models). What firmware and software version are you presently running (because the X5 has no gotten an update in quite a while - ) ? Have you tried changing the player, just as a test (from menu->settings->configuration there should be an option on the top to change player). So all the channels numbers and EPG show up, but stream is black ? Just curious, do you have a VPN available ? If so, try installing and using VPN. Many ISP are now blocking certain destinations during some times of the day and VPN is the only option in many cases.
  5. There is no way for you to delete it. It is part of the BuzzTV 4 package and this box is very unlikely to get any new updates. The last one was over 4 years ago. It is a very old box, so don't expect any new updates. It is running Android 7.x and BuzzTV 4. BuzzTV is already on Android 13, and BuzzTV 6 on their Powerstation. They still actively support boxes running BuzzTV 5 and BuzzTV 6.
  6. The other reality is, that many people do NOT use the Google play store. Like myself, I do not like putting my google account on any of these boxes except in rare occasions, so play store is not used. I have all the application apk/apkx I want on a USB stick (and on a share folder on my NAS) and I typically just sideload everything. I occasionally use the Aptoide store that is pre-installed if I need some random app for testing. Very few apps I need/want the google play store for. Analiti would be one, but not something I need regularly (at least not for me). This is also easier when you are testing and factory resetting boxes regularly
  7. I just dug out and dusted off my E1 from the archives and decided to try it again. Seems like a small bug must have slipped into one of the last update sent out ages ago (back in 2021). There is no obvious way to switch home screens, when you switch to the "BuzzTV Media Player" Home screen . I know there used to be a "settings" ICON initially in the all apps screen, but that no longer seems to be there. This only happens when using the "BuzzTV Media Player" Home screen option. The other 3 home screen options works fine. The right arrow only works with "BuzzTV Media Player 2" home screen. I always use the "BuzzTV Modern" one, so never even tested it for a long time (since the first days I got the box back in 2020). However I did find a small workaround. It's not the most elegant solution, but it will avoid someone having to do a hard reset of the box. Find yourself a simple USB keyboard (like from a PC). Then plug it into one of the USB ports of the E1. And then hit the "F8" key on the keyboard, which will bring up the side menu, where you can then go to the home screen setting and change home screen theme. Note to self: Don't use the "BuzzTV Media Player" home screen theme Other option/workaround is to use AptoideTV, and install another launcher (I tested with "Projectivity Launcher"). Once installed, launch it. After getting through the basic setups, from the main launcher screen (under TV Apps - first row), you will see "App Installer", "Aptoide TV", "Buzz TV 4" and then "BuzzTV Classic" along with "BuzzTV Media Player" and "BuzzTV Media Player 2". Well, I selected BuzzTV Classic, and it launched the BuzzTV Classic home screen theme, and was able to go into settings and change the default home screen theme back to my "BuzzTV modern". This is an option in case you do NOT have access to a USB keyboard. I can't speak for BuzzTV themselves, but I'd be surprised if they send out any update to fix this bug, 4 years after the last update. You'll probably have to accept the limitation and bug, and learn to get around it. Simple: don't use the BuzzTV Media player home screen
  8. Not home to check my old E1, but gong from memory, have you tried scrolling RIGHT, to go off the screen to the right ? If I recall, if you scroll right, it goes into a second screen when you press right (when you are at the right most icon) where the setting icon is.

    An official Apple Music app is not available on the Android TV platform (you can blame apple for that). Unlike generic boxes which use a hacked version of android as typically found on phones, the P6 uses Android TV, which is an official TV optimized version of Android 13 in this case. There is no version I know of which will work on the P6 (or other genuine AndroidTV devices for that matter). Short of downloading a web browser which is compatible with AndroidTV and going through the cumbersome way of using that there might be ways to cast it from another device to the AndroidTV device. But I am not an Apple boy, so I would not be able to provide you instructions on how to cast. The last apple device I ever had in my home was an old Apple 3GS Switched to Android after that, and never looked back. Pretty sure you are out of luck on that one.
  10. Depends on where you are. But just look at the button legend typically on screen for the colored buttons. From the Channel list view, use red button to toggle (as nbs has pointed out above). While watching a channel, if you press down to get channel OSD, you will see it is the blue button from that screen. Bottom line, all functions are typically identified in the legends of the various screens.
  11. Try unpairing it and see if in IR mode it is responsive. If it is responsive in IR mode (obviously you need to point the remote in the general direction of the box), then maybe there is an issue with interference with the bluetooth. Is the box located next to any other wireless devices (Router, cordless phone, etc..), or even some motor load (like a portable AC or something) ? If TV has wifi on it, try just as a test, to disable the WiFi on the TV. For the remote, when I mentioned earlier about dropping it, it is not always a drop. Sometimes it can happen if for some reason someone sits on it, or rolls over on it (plenty of mine split open on occasion if I forget them on the couch and site on them). It is very subtle if you are not looking at it from the side, so you may not notice it, but it raises the plastic ever so slightly that the buttons are no longer "raised". Anyhow, you can see the pics attached, First one is slightly split along the edge and you can see the buttons are flush because of that. The second pic, with it squeezed back together the buttons are raised, making them easier to use and more responsive. Anyhow, just something to check, since I have had 2 friends who have had that issue, and we got a good laugh when I went over and just squeezed the remote back together.
  12. BuzzTV remotes do NOT use coin cells. Every buzztv remote I know uses AAA batteries (IR50, IR100, IR200, BT100, BT200, BT250, BT350, BT400, G20) and even the ARQ series. And very simple to replace by just sliding back cover off. And you say "this issue arose", yet this is your first post to this thread ? What issue ? Do you have 2 accounts (SlowMoe and jawjahpeach) ?
  13. Have you read my suggestion in the 2nd post from the top ? Change your power option to "shutdown" instead of suspend. For the remote, I assume you tried replacing batteries with a fresh set ? It unfortunately all depends on how you treat the remote. If it drops a couple of time, or used with wet hands, it can tend to deteriorate pretty quick. Have you checked to see that the remote has not split open along the sides ? When it falls (since mine do occasionally fall), the remote tends to split open on one side (clips let go a bit). Squeezing it shut again, and snapping back into place, tends to fix the issue.
  14. True, but it can still be damaged/defect (it happens). And was never mentioned that they were actually using the original cable which came with the Powerstation. Worth trying another one.
  15. Maybe some keyword it flags that happens to be in some URL or channel description. I have at least 6 different playlists on pastebin and no issues with any of them.
