Installing SSD

Hello y purchased SSD for install it, need prior format or automatic format ?

if need formating , is ntfs or fat32 ?

Yes its best to Format via the 4900 itself

Also it works best if formatted as external storage.

 

I personally use a 1TB SSD on my 4900, works well.

yes me to with 1tb,  1tb as good space for me for recording and other , for the kodi y have a synology nas 4 bays  with 2x4tb raid. Just need root for working smb with my computer or buzz add smb server working for no root.

Adding SMB support is something were looking into for a future update.
