While playing with my 4500, I have somehow turned off the audio.  When I try to turn the volume up or down with the bt remote, on the right side of the screen shows the volume level slider.  the "note" icon has a line drawn thru it.  i assume. This means volume option is unavailable. What in the setup options  controls this option??  thanks!

Ok, into live mode.  Moving volume control up or down gives me menu on the right.  I cant do a thing bar thru note.  Green button does nothing.

Yep, everything is correct!  It looks like it maybe something with the BLUTOOTH !!  I attach my bluetooth earphones and pair, and I can adjust the headphone level.  In other words, I pair my headphones, and can adjust volume with the box volume ontrol !

Ok, its definately blutooth related.  Headphones worked. Turned off buzz box, TURNED OFF HEADPHONES,  Turned box back on,  go into live mode, and tv volume works. It has to do with pairing and unpairing of the headphones. !!

Thank you for all your help!

The no audio prolem  still exists.  My guess the problem is HDMI settings between the t v and the xrs4500.  If I disconnect power to the buzz box, and then reboot, the volume controll sill pass along to the tv set.  After a few seconds of everything working, I get a message on the screen that says it cant find the RECEIVER, and then shuts the buzz box volume off. You can not adjust the volume at all.

Could the buzz box not have the HDMI settings correct???

To be continued.......

Thanks,again!

An easy fix but doesnt work.  Headphones unpaired, box turned off, and everything is rebooted...same problem.

When you try to adjust the volume with the box volume, a popup window comes up. The volume slider is locked (as in wont move), a slash bar is over the note. The buzz box volume is locked off (and no blutooth device attached (except for the bt100)).  Crazy !!

I still think its a HDMI setting for the tv.  If no other suggestions, a complete reboot is in order.

Thanks!

THE END OF THE PROBLEM.  A sad ending without A definitive ending.  Soft reset and start all over again. Up and running with the basic...no audio problems.

Thank all of you who made suggestions.

Thanks for your question.  By answering it, I open a can of worms that I don't want to answer in a public forum (because I m so fricking fustrated about).

Here goes..

In the xrs4500 home classic screen,I have "live tv", "VOD" , and "tv Series" buttons.  none of which do anything when I press the green button. They also do nothing on the remote control.

Tha k you for your help.  My questions and comments will be written to the customer service department.
