Help with Recording (on or off)

Hi All

My friend and I had buzz xpl 3000, and we just both recently updated to the new XRS 4500.  Wow, much faster and loads quick.   The only question we have is with the recording.  I have seen on sites, that the box can be shut down, and recording will work.  My friend tried, and did not work. 

Or do we select option of suspend rather then shut down.  

If anyone can help.   Much appreicated.

Ok, I agree.  Thanks again.   Just was hoping it would work, rather keeping box on, as many posts indicated it would.   Oh well,  good to know.

Recording when XRS4500 is off works fine for me. I am using external storage plugged into USB3 port. Also working when I was using internal storage. When off, device will not indicate recording in progress but it will record manually scheduled recording session.
