JHa Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 Can't find a user manual anywhere online and nothing came in the box other than the remote control description. Trying to set up a buzztv for my 84 yr old Mom. Having a grand go at it. I got as far as inputting portal name, portal url, username, password. Saw positive sign = a screen that said "hand shake" does this mean that the portal info took okay? but after that nothing has changed. I pressed the 'live tv' (blue box) and it just gives me the server page (if I want to add another server). Same happens when I press the stream (blue box). And epg box is empty. In my researching iptv I've seen reference to epg, downloader, apk, m3u, xml. Do I need to download these? All of these? some of these to get this device to work? I would really appreciate your expertise if you would be so kind to share. Thank you! Quote

Posted January 29, 2020 Posted January 29, 2020 (edited) after handshake it should load channel list then categories If your portal info is wrong you will get a different message there is nothing more you need to download Hold power button down and select reboot I have had issues loading and a reboot helps are you sure your server requires a username and password as well as a server url? what server is it? JHa Posted January 29, 2020 Author Posted January 29, 2020 Well, somewhat...making some headway I have to sort out if I put the portal info in the wrong area (I put it in the server section) and I saw a you tube video that put it in the streaming section instead. And I'm wondering if that's why I'm not able to get epg info. I don't have access to the box right now to test that out (I'm trying to help Mom out with it), but trying to go through more videos today at my home. Another stumper for me was I downloaded Tivimate and tried to copy over (via clipboard) the m3u that was given from the provider, but I kept getting 'error'. I know it is not the provider or the device (XRS4000) it is me trying to learn how all these variables an steps fit together. Quote

I wish I knew how to answer the question of what server she has. The provider is eternaliptv.org if that answers the question and then I input their response for portal url, usernale and password in the add server section. Thank you Nbs. Quote

Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 this is from their website Go to : Settings—> System Settings —> Servers—>Portals Set Portal 1 Name ( see into your E-mail ) Set Portal 1 URL ( see into your E-mail ) there is no mention of username and password so i would uncheck those credential and hit connect Quote
