Strange Recording quirk

First of all you should not have revived a 2yr old thread, since it has been out of beta for AGES!!!  You should have started your own thread.

No issues with recordings here either.

What type of sub do you have, MAC based, XC API, or M3U ?

What stream type do you have set ?  Menu->Settings->configuration->Stream format.   Maybe try changing stream format.  Sometimes after an update it can have a side effect of changing some settings.

Using the X5SS and having a similar issue recording. Can set a hockey game for 2 hours. Records approximately 20 minutes and stops. Identical issue with my second X5SS on another TV. Tried manual recordings and epg one touch. Can’t seem to get the full recording.

if stream drops or freezes it will stop recording
