No recording if no EPG?

Hi guys, I think I know the answer to this, but here goes...

If I set up a Future Recording, and there is no EPG, will the XRS 4900 still record it? 

I have Channel, Start Time End Time, every thing set up. 

The show plays, just No EPG is in the Guide. This is a Server Issue correct?
