TCL Tv remote and STB + find function

I just switched from physical buzz device to smart STB+ and realized that my TCL tv remote does not have any way to search on or use the “find” button on the app. i press “123” button but then get an error something like this page does not support virtual remote…

i can only go down the list but can not find any older movie if i want.

any help would greatly appreciated
