peter petruzzellis Posted Monday at 08:28 PM Posted Monday at 08:28 PM (edited) To whom it may concern I have tried recording the 6:30pm news on a channel. It worked once and then no longer worked. I went to my provider and I had to return with my black box. He then reset the box and showed me what to to. He advised me to go the the TV channel to be taped, go to the time in question and presws the button and it asked if I wanted to record. When I replied yes, I thought that would do the job. The fact is, it recorded for about 5 seconds and then the recording ended. I have a Samsung smart TV that is 3 years old. Can you advise what I need to do to get the recording (taping to work. *EDITED OUT PERSONAL INFO** Thank you Peter Petruzzellis Edited Monday at 09:14 PM by allaboutbuzz EDITED OUT PERSONAL INFO Quote
Emporium Posted Monday at 09:02 PM Posted Monday at 09:02 PM Never put your personal details in public. First of all, we need MORE info. What box model number are you running. From the Update screen, what version of firmware and BuzzTV software are you running. Also, when you are trying to record, are you trying to record internally, or to a USB or other drive ? Is your service MAC, XC or M3U based ? Does it support more than 1 connection ? Keep in mind that when the box records, it is considered as a single stream, so if you are trying to schedule recordings, and your service ONLY supports a single stream, then you CAN NOT be watching another channel when the recording starts. To allow you to watch and record simultaneously, you would need an XC type sub which supports multiple simultaneous connections. 1 Quote
