Shari Schwarzenbart Posted Sunday at 10:30 PM Posted Sunday at 10:30 PM Recently I've noticed when I go into Buzz TV 6 to do a PVR recording, my NVME storage isn't listed as an option to record to, the only thing there is my internal storage. I can even go into the settings of the device, and in storage it says internal storage only. If I use a file manager like X-plore I only see my internal storage. Now in the past I have seen the NVME drive in the Buzz Tv PVR section as an option to record to, and previously I have seen it in X-plore as well. Has an update that went through changed this? And if so, what can I do? I also have Tivimate on my device and I see the NVME drive as an option to record to perfectly. I have recordings on the drive that seem to be hidden, as I can't find them. Any ideas? Quote
Emporium Posted Sunday at 11:02 PM Posted Sunday at 11:02 PM If under Setings->storage all you see is internal, I am very surprised that you can see anything under tivimate (have you actually tried to use it or is the device presence cached). Settings->storage is what the Android OS sees. If the OS can't see it,. apps won't see it. I'm assuming you tried unplugging the power and re-plugging back the devices to do a proper power cycle ? Last time that happened to me (on my old xrs4900 with an SSD), it turned out to be a defective drive. Keep in mind there is no ventilation in the drive compartment, so if you use a cheap drive that get's extremely hot, it can overheat. 1 Quote
Shari Schwarzenbart Posted Monday at 08:24 PM Author Posted Monday at 08:24 PM I tried recording on Tivimate with the NVME drive several times and it wouldn't record. I put a Sandisk USB flash drive in the P6 and that registered on the device and in Buzz TV, however I tried to do a recording on the Sandisk through Buzz TV and I only got about a minute to record. If the NVME drive isn't being found by the device, would you suggest taking it out and putting it in again, would that possibly help fix any error? Quote
Emporium Posted Monday at 08:56 PM Posted Monday at 08:56 PM The NVME drive is probably DEAD. You can try removing it and reinserting it in case it was just badly seated, but my bet is on a defective nvme unfortunately. Quote
